We all sat in the Boutique thinking about our next challenge. The Air was heavy with silence.
"There's no need to be so concerned. Our parents have gone through this trial before. We all know the stories. It might actually be fun to experience this in interactive format" Mitsuki tried to cheer us up.
"Yeah, we know all about the Tales…but it wasn't until we actually played through the challenges our parents endured that we learnt how heavy their responsibility was. The funny thing is…our parents were also kids when they last faced the Weaver Of Calamity" I said.
"That's true" everyone realized.
"Why don't we visit the Mountain Mom and Dad visited just before their confrontation against Zanböngfar?" Saito suggested.
"Let's do it!" Ariel agreed.
"Sure thing" Keiran and I agreed.
So we left the boutique and headed to a bus station. We took a bus to Central Dream City. Once there, we journeyed on foot past the Lunar Flower Fields and reached a Mountain. It took us an hour to climb it. Since there was currently a Town above it, there was also a road. We didn't have too tough a time climbing the Mountain. At the top of the Mountain, there was a field of Lunar Flowers and Sunflowers.
"Dad must have planted these for Mom. We haven't been here in a very long time" Saito said with a nostalgic smile.
It was almost Sunset.
"You can see all of Dream City from here see?" I pointed out.
"Yeah, it's really beautiful in the Sunset" Ciella said.
We sat on top of the Mountain staring at the wide expanse that was Dream City, all the way towards the Horizon. Keiran and Concordia decided to take a short walk leaving Ciella, my siblings, Arlene and Mitsuki. When Keiran and Concordia were a distance away from us, they began to talk.
"I haven't yet thanked you Keiran" Concordia said.
"For what?" Keiran had a blank look on his face.
"For helping me break out of my limitations. Thanks to you, I understand my elemental affinities better and I think I understand why you stopped me from utilizing Elements Of Destruction before" Concordia said.
"We didn't get this far relying on my strength alone. I too relied on your experience. Thank you for everything" Keiran said.
Concordia smiled.
Ciella and I just sat silently watching the Sunset. After a while, Ciella began to speak.
"Initially, I didn't want to move to Dream City since it was rumoured to be Ground Zero of Zanböngfar's attack. Being here made me sad…and afraid" Ciella admitted.
"I understand. I too wanted to avoid all those tragedies especially since my family played a central part in the events that occured nearly twenty three years ago. That was until this…came my way dragging me into everything" I said and showed Ciella the Tome.
She burst into laughter.
"What's the deal with the Tome anyway?" she asked.
"Well…it's handed to members of my family deemed worthy to succeed my Gramps' and Dad's path. It's basically a record of the key moments in their lives that made them the men they are today. Regardless of how hard I tried to avoid those key moments, I just kept stumbling into them" I explained.
Ciella laughed.
"It's no wonder you always seemed so out of place" she said.
"Yeah…but the funny thing is…you can't avoid these key moments without being a total jerk. So I guess…I can live with it" I said with a smile.
"Even if you'll face calamities upon the highest heights and lowest depths?" Ciella asked with a smile.
"Even then" I said.
"You're really something else San" Ciella admitted.
"Thanks, you're pretty amazing yourself. You're not even a Dream Knight officially, but then again neither am I. Though you're not officially a Dream Knight…you face everything with the Courage and Wisdom of one" I said.
"Thanks, can't shame the name my parents gave me. I've got to live up to their expectations" Ciella said with a smile and placed her hand on mine. "You taught me that" she said.
"Actually…it was the other way round or don't you remember?" I teased her.
"I want to spend the rest of my life watching many more Sunsets with you" Ciella said.
I opened my eyes in surprise.
"What? Did that sound weird?" Ciella laughed nervously.
"No…it sounded fateful…in a good kind of way" I said and we continued to watch the Sunset together.
