My Dad continued to teach us more.
"Today, I will be teaching you about a unique facet of Immaterial Light. However, to understand this lesson, it is a prerequisite for you to have understood Prince's lesson on 'Time as an element of Harmony'" my Dad explained.
"We're all ears" I said.
"As I explained earlier during my lesson on Material Light, the Sensory Ability granted by Material Light is determined by two things. The first is the Mass of the Object and the second is the specific Spectrum Of Light that makes contact with the object. The effects of Material Light are mainly objective. You could say Material Light is the facet of Light that determines Objective Reality. Simply put, the unique characteristics of every object illuminated by Material Light are clearly visible. Everyone can clearly identify one object from another as well as tell the characteristics of the objects. When multiple people perceiving an object illuminated by Material Light attempt to describe the characteristics of the object, the likelihood that they'll describe the object's characteristics in similar terms is very high" my Dad explained.
"I see" Ariel realized what my Dad was getting at.
"The same rule may not necessarily apply when it comes to describing objects illuminated by Immaterial Light. In such cases, the fundamental characteristics of the object remain the same regardless of the person describing its characteristics however there may be alterations to the description of the object's peripheral characteristics. Simply put, the fundamental laws governing the operation of the Universe remain the same regardless of World however, these rules can be interpreted in multiple ways and formats. If an Artist and a Scientist were to attempt to describe a single facet of Immaterial Light, you'd notice similarities in the operation of the facet of Immaterial Light they're attempting to describe however, the imagery used to describe that facet of Immaterial Light may be vastly different depending on the person that perceives it. The manner in which a person perceives Immaterial Light is largely tied to their cultural background, individual experiences as well as intellectual capacity and creativity and their individual beliefs and ideals. No two people have exactly the same experiences thus there'll always be slight variations as to their perception of Immaterial Light. It's also the reason no two Dream Knights bear exactly the same sigil even if there may be similarities to either appearance or functionality of their sigils. However, when multiple people interact with one another, they may share ideas. These shared ideas become 'Shared Time' as well as 'Shared Experiences'. During these Shared Times, they may begin to share goals and these goals may eventually become 'Shared Ideals'. Due to this unique phenomenon, it may be possible for multiple people to have a Shared Perception Of Immaterial Light. Simply put, through Shared Time, they may be granted 'similar keys' to a particular facet of Immaterial Light. These similar keys may in turn eventually grant them 'similar abilities and sigils'. It's the reason your Mom transformed into a Demi-Dreamweaver when we shared hearts and why we both wield one half of the same sigil. You will notice the manifestation of that trait of Shared Time and its effects in the cord that bonds your Mom's half of the Pyrostellis Luminares to mine" my Dad explained.
"I see, so unlike Material Light which grants an Objective Perception Of Reality, Immaterial Light grants an Objective Perception Of The Laws governing the Universe however through multiple and varying interpretations" Saito realized.
"That's what I meant. The Laws governing the Universe remain the same regardless of World, however these Laws may be interpreted within varying contexts" my Dad explained.
