Prince sighed.
"I've taught you all you need to know about Time. At the very least, you have the basic knowledge required to complete the Trial Of Time" Prince said.
"Thanks Dad" Mitsuki said gratefully.
"Mitsuki, you recall the duties of Time Wielders don't you?" Prince asked Mitsuki.
"Of course, our House as Wielders Of Time are responsible for guiding the Dream Knights and all our allies towards forging a brighter future by harnessing knowledge of the past" Mitsuki said.
Prince smiled.
"If you can recall that, then I guess there's no need for me to worry" Prince said as he waved to us.
We stepped out of the Hall we'd undergone our lessons in. Like always the first door disappeared and a larger door appeared in its place bearing the same images the previous door had. We opened the door and stepped in. Unlike with the previous Fields, the Field we found ourselves in was completely dark.
"It's pitch black in here" Ariel complained.
"Let's make a light then" Keiran said and stretched his hand.
A bright crimson flame appeared in his hands. Ciella made a gentle sweeping motion with her hand. The Friction caused by the movement of her hand over the air particles surrounding her hand caused a flame to ignite around her arms as well. Saito created a Flame as well.
We stared ahead of ourselves and found ourselves standing on what appeared to be raised ground. We walked forward and discovered that the ground we were walking on lowered itself into completely frozen ground. We now stood on what appeared to be the surface of a frozen lake.
"This appears to be a frozen lake" I noted.
"A frozen lake? Could this lake be somewhat related to your earlier dream? You know, the dream Uncle Prince called an Omen?" Saito asked.
I listened closely. From below the frozen lake, I could hear the sound of moving water.
"I don't know. It could be. In my dream, the river wasn't frozen. It was simply sealed off by the huge Gate. I guess if you consider the frozen surface of the lake as a Gate of sorts, then it does make a weird sort of sense" I said.
"Yeah, both the Gate and the frozen surface of the lake sort of keep the Water sealed off and prevent it from flowing. With regards to the Gate, the Water can't flow beyond it and with regards to the frozen surface of the lake, the Water can't break past the frozen surface" Saito noted.
"I do sorta see the connections between the Gate and this lake but that doesn't solve the question of the riddles posed by the Gate" I said.
"The Names Of Three Families, The Significance Of The Horizon and…" Saito paused.
"…the Alignment Of The Seven Representatives Of Heaven with the Seven Representatives Of Earth" I completed Saito's question.
"The answer to the first question was 'Sol, Luna and Stella' right?" Mitsuki asked.
I nodded.
"Sol is the word for 'Sun', Luna is another word for 'Moon' and 'Stella' is the word for 'Stars'. The Sun, the Moon and the Stars are the answer to the question 'The Ocean's Robe'" Mitsuki said.
"Ciella, you recall what you told me concerning your name right?" I asked.
"My parents often told me that when one looks towards the Horizon, the Sky and the Sea become One hence the Sea becomes an extension of the Sky. That's why they named me 'Ciella'" Ciella said.
"The Sky and the Sea become One huh? Well if they truly become One, then they'd have a single Name instead of two separate names" Mitsuki reasoned.
"What are you getting at Mitsuki?" Saito asked.
"The Sky was rumoured to have been created to separate the Waters above from the Waters below. In a sense, you could consider the Sky as a 'Mirror'. If the Sea were an 'Object', the Waters above the Sky would be a 'Reflection' and vice versa. The answer to the question 'The Ocean's Robe' are the Sun, the Moon and the Stars, however, these are not found in the Ocean but rather in the Sky so to the Gate and the person in your Dreams answering the questions posed by the Gate, the Sky and the Sea are synonymous" Mitsuki said.
"I see…that makes sense. And if Time is to a large extent determined by the movement of Heavenly Bodies or simply put, Galactic Motion, the answer to the question 'The Ocean's Robe' is really 'Time'" I said.
Everyone's eyes widened in realization.
