We reflected on everything we'd learnt so far.
"So some aspects of Time are governed by Galactic Motion. The Revolution Of The Moon around the Earth determines Day and Night. The Revolution of the Earth around the Sun determines Years. When the Moon revolves around the Earth as the Earth revolves around the Sun, Months and Seasons come into play" I tried to wrap my mind around everything we'd learnt so far.
"Plus the coolness of Night triggers sleep which causes regeneration of body cells and the restoration of Mental Fortitude whereas the heat of the day amplifies the absorption and release of energy from the body allowing Living Beings to work" Concordia added.
"There's also the fact that some aspects of Time are experienced universally while others are experienced uniquely" Ciella noted.
"It appears you've understood everything I've said so far. Well, aside from being an Element Of Significance, Time is also the Element Of Growth" Prince said.
We paid close attention.
"Whether we realize it or not, all Living Beings live only and always in the 'Present'. We do not live in the 'Future' or the 'Past' but always in the 'Now'. However, we have an awareness of the 'Past' since everything we experience is stored in our 'Memories'. Thus a Human Being has the capacity to revisit the Past through their Memories. Personal History is thus stored in the Memories of every individual and when one makes records of 'History' in one form or the other, one captures a 'Moment' within the 'Now' which can be revisited in a new 'Present'. By making 'Records' of the 'Present' we accumulate 'History' when that present is lost and possess the capacity to revisit the 'Captured Moment'. This ability uniquely grants Mankind the ability to connect with the lives of 'Ancestors' and 'Predecessors' long gone" Prince explained.
"Whoa! That's really something" we exclaimed in awe.
"However, that is not all. Our understanding of our accumulated past as well as the present grants us the ability to anticipate the 'Future'. For instance, we know from our study of the past as well as our memories that Night always follows Day. We also understand the order in which the Seasons occur as well as the likely times they occur. Certain aspects of Nature tend to follow established patterns which when one studies and comes to an understanding of their operation, grants one understanding of their 'Causes' and 'Effects' with regards to that particular phenomenon. To put it simply, we perpetually live in the 'Present', carry the 'Past' which is the summation of all our experiences within our 'Memories' and these experiences grant us the ability to anticipate the 'Future'" Prince explained.
"Makes sense to me" I said.
"The Physiological passage of Time causes us to grow and mature physically. Our experiences on the other hand cause us to grow and mature mentally and spiritually. It is these experiences when they allow us to come to an understanding of some of the established laws governing the Universe and Nature, that in turn grant us the ability to anticipate the Future" Prince explained.
This was a startling discovery for us. Somehow we'd always known it but had never really thought about it in an orderly fashion thus it was both surprising and amazing and yet at the same time very familiar instead of strange.
