It was just about midday when it happened, the sudden appearance of a massive behemoth eclipsing the rays of the Sun.
"San, what's that?" Ciella asked.
"All hands to battle stations! That behemoth in the Sky can only mean one thing…it's an invasion by the Seiryuu Peristylium! Down that behemoth with the full brunt of Suzaku's Cannons!" I ordered my crew.
"But boss…there are no Cannons aboard the Sea Islands" my crew reported.
"WHAAAT?! No Cannons?! Who builds a Mothership of an invasion fleet without Cannons?!" I roared.
"Actually, they were your instructions boss" one of my crew members said.
"Do you know whose Sky Island that is?" Ciella asked.
My eyes twitched in irritation.
"The Seiryuu Peristylium…it can only be an obnoxious little brother and an ancient rival" I said.
Meanwhile Keiran and Concordia had spotted our Sea Island.
"Hmm hmm hmm…a foolish Captain heads that Island. Who signals the enemy general with their own flag? It's time to send that fleet to good ol' Davy Jones' locker! Turn it to ash with the full might of Seiryuu's flamethrowers!" Keiran ordered.
"But boss…there are no flamethrowers integrated into our airships" one of the crew reported.
"Which Peristylium named after a Dragon…and a blue one at that fails to integrate the fundamental fiery breath technique of all Dragons into its Armada's battleships?!" Keiran roared.
"Actually…they were your specific instructions boss" a crew member replied.
"That Sea Island, it must definitely be the Suzaku Peristylium. The Captains must definitely be a recruit and an obnoxious big bro" Keiran said as his eyebrows twitched in irritation.
"Not Byakko or Genbu?" Concordia asked.
"Everyone knows Suzaku develops all of Genbu's arsenal and Genbu excels at secret techniques. The only Peristylium bold enough to resort to a Naval Camouflage when their specialty actually lies in the Airforce is none other than the Suzaku Peristylium" Keiran said with a sly grin.
"I see…so we're finally establishing First Contact huh?" Concordia said in an attempt to conceal her excitement.
"The signal by Aurora was actually pretty clever. We spotted it roughly two nights ago and have followed it all the way here. I would never have imagined that the ones transmitting the signal were actually Ciella and San" Keiran said.
"Ho ho! A foolish general it is that rides a behemoth in the Skies while boldly claiming to be launching an infiltration into enemy territory. Why would you delude yourselves into believing you have the advantage when you are boldly following a signal transmitted by us" I said as my Avatar scouted Keiran and Concordia's Peristyliums.
All of a sudden, Keiran noticed a huge fleet of Islands heading towards our location while I noticed a fleet of Undersea Subs doing the same via my Avatar.
"The Byakko Peristylium seems to have joined the fray. They're not even making contact with the surface of the Ocean but appear to be hovering above it. That must be Arlene and Mitsuki" Keiran noted.
"The Subs must be Genbu. Turtles and the like are generally Amphibious. I would not be surprised if they finally came up with a way to sail the depths of the Oceans for an unprecedented amount of time. Healers like Ariel generally understand living beings so it's not shocking that they'd replicate the breathing mechanisms of Amphibians and integrate it into their Peristylium's tech. Pretty darn cool if you ask me. Perhaps I should send invitations" I said and walked out.
I waved my hands. Moments later, Keiran and Concordia descended to our Island via Kraken Andromeda's Surf Mode. Arlene and Mitsuki did the same via Lunar Gravity and Saito and Ariel surfaced and boarded our boat via their Dreamweaving Abilities which they used to generate flight.
When we assembled, I began to speak.
"So…how should we go about things…a free for all battle royale, a two on two tag team match or a one on three handicap battle or would you prefer a one on one showdown?" I asked.
They laughed.
"Why don't we just settle things via Formation Cherubim!" Keiran challenged.
Suddenly, my Dad's voice rang throughout our location.
"Congratulations on establishing First Contact with other civilizations and finding each other. This chapter is now complete. The next chapter commences soon and involves…Five Elemental Rings!" my Dad said as we smirked at one another in challenge.
