Loey's POV
I rushed out from my cabin and quickly rushing through the hallway I stopped near the Glassdoor of the design room . I can't bring myself to face her yet , I mean not after what I did a minute ago but I can't stand the fact that I hurt her when I know she is bearing the same pain as mine for 8 years . Both are pretending like we know nothing just to save each other but it's feels wrong for me at this point .
I will wait for the right time and when it comes I don't let her go again , not until I die.
I watched through the door before gathering all my courage .
Wait , She is laughing . She is been always bright but she used to cry all time whenever Sometime happen or she get scolded. I hated to see her like that but eventually liked it because everytime it happened she would come to look for me and burst out with tear on my chest. With that I got to keep her closer more often thought she caused me not able to wear many of my shirts in public because of the wet stains of her tears .
I still have them .
Whenever I missed her , I wore those and hugged Myself to feel her presence .
But seeing her now like this , fighting with her feelings just to go with the flaw , hurting me more .
Where she is going ? What does she want to pull out with her Pikachu height? Heyy the shelf is not stable . I need to do maintenance services again .
O the box . GOD DAMN IT , Haein. I kicked the door open and rushed towards her. Thank god I managed to cover her before the box fall but the box fall hard on my back .
Does it hurt? I don't know , the thing I know is she is inside my arms and safe .. wait , INSIDE MY ARMS ?
Now my heart won't stop racing , deng ..
She turned a little but face to face , body still turned around as my arm is holding her waist tightly . Her face is just a inch apart .
"Are you ok?" I couldn't find any good words than this .
She looked down and nodded .
"Did you forgot that you are not the Burj Khalifa ?" I can't help but scold when I let her go from my hold. Though I didn't want but others are looking at us .
"Why didn't you guys report for a maintenance , it's dangerous to work with this kind of stuffs . I'll call maintenance office, they will come to check", I told facing straight to KyungSoo and he nodded in approval.
I didn't care about anything else before grabbing Haein's hand into my fist and walked out from the room. My foot stoped when we reached the rooftop garden on our office building .
Haein's POV
Loey looked concerned about me more when he tried to be concerned about them. But why ?
One moment he is rude another moment he is soft. Did you gained a bipolar disorder dumbyeol ?
Suddenly he grabbed my hand pulled me outside. I couldn't protest as he is physically stronger than me. No matter how skilled I am, I'll always submit to him. I just nodded my head to say bye towards two what-the-fuck-is-happening-here looking faces .
I don't know where Yeol is taking me. Soon we reached the stairs and walked to the rooftop garden in fresh air .
Finally he let go of my hand and breathed heavily ,"I'm Sorry".
What !!! He said sorry? Am I right? I looked up to him in uttar surprise as he turned to face me at the same time .
"Suhan told me everything. actually I was concerned about something . My mind was all occupied by that and seeing that important thing imperfectly done, made me enraged at the same time. That made me yell at you ", He blabbed in one breath like a pro rapper .
I was right . He is concerned.
"It's ok boss , it happens in work" , I assured and he sighed . "But doesn't your back hurt? I mean you just got hit by that heavy box " I asked.
It looked like he didn't knew that he got hit when he moved his both shoulder ,"Not at all , it was empty , so it's okk" and went to sit on a bench near the relling , patted the seat beside him " take a bit break here " .
I slowly walked and sit down .
We are sitting side by side now with a awkward silence but I can't bring myself to speak out . It happens everytime he is around . My throat and tongue seems to be on freeze mode .
" the raw material truck will reach the storage house at midnight , not the office " , Finally he broke the silence .
"Is any thing secret information coming with it ?" I asked thought I knew.
"Yess , this information is so important , but you can't go . this time it's too dangerous for you to handle . So I'll be in action", he said while sighing .
"How much dangerous?" , I made a fake qurious face as much naturally as I could because I already know what is going to happen and I have to convince him to take me with him .
Jaehu's dogs will definitely try to get the information . Because their head's life depends on it . They couldn't take the other informations through out the years despite their endless efforts and this information will be the last drop of fuel that we need to burn that dirty company down to ashes who works for the multinational racket in the cover of fashion company and leaks the confidential informations about nation and supply them Illigal arms .
I worked there to gather clues and hack their information desk secretly to prevent them to do any harm to Yeol and be upto mark that would convince him to take me in this work .
"It's a life risk situation , informer told me that information is a pendrive and I have to take it out before anyone tries the same because they already got to know about it ". He bite his lower lip in frustration. "But the thing is , it's at night so I need to sneak in secret without getting caught in security guard's eyes".
And guess what. It's all because I wasn't there to hack their informant surver yesterday after being surrounded by memories of the day with Yeol. So this time it's 100% my responsibility to take care of this matter . I'm damn sure master won't let me go for this but I can cut down some punishment by taking out the information and his son safely .
"So boss you need to hack the CCTV cameras of storage house in case something happens and I can do that ", please Yeol agree . Unless I have to follow you in disguise and it's really annoying .
"Thanks , but I can't take you . I'll figure out something", He shook his head .
"But boss two brain is better than one and it will be easier to find the drive if four eyes search for it " , Agree ,agree ,agree .. you have to .
He is thinking . I know he is afraid that it will cause me harm . He is always considerate about other's before him . He is always .
"Okk , fine . But promise me one thing . If something happens to me , make sure to leave me there and run with or without the drive"
YESSSS ...........
I promise , I won't let anyone lay a finger on you .
"Yes Boss", I jump up to stand .
Suddenly a big growl was heard and he hide his stomach with his big palms before turning around , maybe to hide his embarrassment .
"Boss !!"
"Ahh.. I'm sorry " , he mumbled . "I was busy so forgot to have breakfast ".
It's all my fault . I should be sorry . For my carelessness , you are suffering .
" You can still have . I'm a bit hungry too and I owe you a meal anyways ", I coyed . I don't have any other choice anyways .
"For what?" He asked from the corner.
"Umm .... For safely teaching me how to play with that dangerous toy yesterday ", I chuckled . Not because I made another punchline . I just called my most favourite and familiar thing a 'dangerous toy' . Sorry gun.
He finally turned around with a grin pested on his face . "I don't wanna brag but I'm a good teacher ".
It felt a tight knit got released inside my chest by the sight of him smiling .
"Mr. Boss if you don't wanna have a brunch then can we go down already ?" I asked dramatically , knowing that this frankness won't kill me .
"Ok Ms. Secretary ", he stood up from the bench and jogged near . I really didn't expect him to reply like this , not to a girl he just met some weeks ago or so .
"But where should we go ?" He tapped the pad of his index finger on own cheeks in a manner of thinking hard .
"Don't worry Boss . I know a good restaurant near the park in the corner "
"Then what are we waiting for ?let's go ", he said the last words while walking away to the door . He really can't hold back his hunger . Dumbyeol .

Loey's POV
"Wow this place is so beautiful" , I was taken aback by the beauty of this small , quiet resturant .
We seated ourselves in the open side of the restaurant , from where we could enjoy the fresh air filled with scent of flowers that are decorated in the garden area near our table .
"I know right. This place is really amazing and quiet . Perfect for a self date ", She smiled while settling herself on the seat .
I missed this smile , I missed this energy , I missed this feeling of being at home though my home is small but cosy .
The waiter showed Up putting a holt on my sweet thoughts ,"What would you like to order Sir?"

We finished our food and walked out of the restaurant . The food was really good . She didn't forget my taste of food , I must say .
My steps stopped near the park but Haein doesn't seem to notice and continued to walk . Thank god I insisted not to bring my car .
I got a strong feelings to call her. I don't want to go back this early. I want to spend more time with her before something unexpected happens and I regret it .
"Haei", I love you ... So much .
She stopped and turned herself with a frown before gesturing to ask with a nod .
"Wanna walk for a bit?" And I pointed backward to the entrance of the park with thumb .
Haein's POV
"Haein", A sharp pang ringed inside and my heart heart pounded as my foot automatically stopped .
Why am I getting old vibes ? The feeling of ..... No I shouldn't grow hope . I'm not suppose to .
I turned around to figure out what happened and found Loey pointing toward the park beside ,"Wanna walk for a bit ?"
I could walk with you for a whole eternity .
Again my foot automatically worked and I found myself going near .
Third person POV
Within a few moments then found themselves walking side by side on the pavement inside the park that looked like straight out from fairytale . Both are feeling shy to say anything .
Loey is holding back because of his father's threat and Haein is fearing that if she reveals herself two things can happen. Either Loey will push her away again and she won't be able to protect him or he will try to have her as old days and one of them will end up getting disappeared .
Their steps are falling on earth in sync . Shoulders almost brushing to eachother. Loey's fingers are trumbling to hold back the desire of grasping the short female hand .
Suddenly Haein stopped in the middle.
"What happened ?" Loey eyed her and trailed to the direction she was looking .
Haein left him behind and slowly headed toward the bench under the natural shade of a big tree , where a baby girl around 11-12 years was quietly sobing. She looked lonely .
Haein crouched down in front of her knees ,"What is Little Princess doing here alone ?"
That girl looked up moving her face from her palm. Her boba eyes are wailed with moisture , so her dumpling like cheeks ."I'm not Princess . I'm Jhang Mi Re" Then again buried her face to cry .
( A/N : In Korean pronounciation Jhangmi means Rose and Mire means future )
Haein gentle strock her palm on her crown ,"What a beautiful name. But where are your mom dad? Are you lost , Mi Re ?"
The younger one shook her head to say no . She looked up wiping her own cheeks ,"I don't have them . Nanny said they went to god when I was little ".
Haein felt a pang inside her chest . She knows how it feels . Unknowingly her eyes lighten up with emotions .
"Are you missing them ?" She asked because she can relate.
"I don't remember their faces to miss ", the little girl eyed Haein reflecting her strong self .
"Then what's the matter ?"
"Jisung is leaving me ", Mi Re whimpered ,"Candy uncle taking him to the Australia. With whom will I play now ?"
Haein assumed this Jisung to be Mi Re's only friend and candy uncle to be his guardian who is taking him away from her .
Her own life flashed infront of her eyes as she eyed Loey who was standing beside the handrest of the bench . Loey was looking at the girl with some unreadable expression glued in his face .
Gulping the growing lump inside the throat , Haein gathered courage to ask ,"When is he coming back ?"
"I don't know but he said he will come back ", Mi re choked her own sob ,"He is leaving today ".
Haein let out a big sigh before clutching those small hands together with her slight bigger ones ," Mi Re , look at me".
Mi Re eyed her again . Haein continued ,"Do you believe him ?"
The younger nodded . A small smile formed on Haein's face ,"Then if you are gonna wait for him , just go give him a tight hug and share your memories before he leaves . Understand ? Maybe he is also waiting for you to come".
"Ok Unnie. Thank you ", she stood up to give a hug before pecking Haein's cheek softly .
When Mi Re left she kept waving back to her adviser.
Finally Loey speak up breaking the silence ,"You looked like A responsible mother ".
Her smile faded away as his last words hit her eardrums . She tried to avoid the comment and took an attempt to walk out . But before she could move a step , Loey spoke out ," I didn't ask you before but I think I should. Why did you signed the contract? You could have led a normal life with someone who deserves you and have a family".
Being unknown to his true concerns , Haein found herself in the state of confusion wether to response or not. After a moment she came to an conclusion that she can't lie to him but can reveal a small truth to hide the bigger one.
She let out a dry chuckle while tilting her head to face him ,"Why be a burden on someone when I can't even add future generation in their family register? It's better to devote myself where I can be a good help " .
"Sorry but I didn't get you ", Loey's eyes shorten with a frown taking place between eyebrows .
"I'm infertile".
Loey's POV
"I'm infertile "
It's too much for me to take . How far I don't know about you Haein?
I'm not sure if I should ask any farther or not but I can't help my curiousitiy anymore .
"Whe- when did you come to know about this ?" Is it because of me ? Did I ruin your life ? Ofcourse I did .
"After my parents died. I got myself into an accident and lost my ability to give birth . Doctor said my womb is no longer useful", she flashed the same reaction I saw on the interview day and now I know how broken she is . I can't ask any farther .
"Oh ! Sorry . I didn't know ", I can't bring myself to look at her .
"It's ok . I didn't tell anyone anyways", with this she walked out .
I stood still surrounded by my own thoughts .
The person who loves child the most, can't bare a life inside her own .
Maybe I'm the reason behind all this. Maybe her desperation led her to this misery .
You caught me off guard Haein . Now I can't leave you again , not like this .
You are my responsibility !
