INTRODUCTION:
As every story has a start, this story starts with creation of the universe. At the beginning of time, out of the Trimurtis, (THE SUPREME GODS OF THE UNIVERSE) Brahma, created a universe in blank space of darkness and nothingness from a small light which shined so brightly that it drove away the darkness; but they didn't know that the darkness was alive…. The creation of the universe released numerous amounts of energy in all directions that it woke up the darkness from its sleep.
This darkness seeing the creation of the universe and the supreme gods taking over its place, it took the shape of a dark entity and transferred its consciousness into it. The dark entity waged a war on Brahma as he was responsible for universe's creation; during the fight it won against brahma and stole the book of creation and retreated to its space. Later Brahma sought Vishnu's help to retrieve the book of creation as it was a very powerful object which had all the secrets of the universe in It, and all knowledge about the universe, the birth and destruction of the universe. Hearing his plead Vishnu manifested the form of Hayagriva and fought against the dark entity. This battle lasted for many years, until Vishnu landed the final blow on the dark entity killing him. Seeing and experiencing the strength he exhibited, Vishnu cut his body into twelve parts and extracted his soul from his body and locked it away with most powerful seal possible. The blood from is body gave rise to new kinds of creatures; rakshasas and more powerful beings known as asuras. But, the gods were not aware of one thing, the dark entity read the book of creation.
After this incident brahma created the two realms in which all the beings from their birth to death reside in, The Swarg Lok (the upper realm further divided into 7 worlds) and the Nark Lok (the lower realm further divided into seven worlds). Brahma used the remains of the dark entity to the Earth or the "BHULOAK" and locked his soul in depths of the nark Lok. The dark entity earned the name "MADHU-KAITHABA" becoming the first asura or the father of all asuras and Vishnu gained the name "MADU SUDHANA." The creation of the universe led to the creation of other gods such as the life force "SATI" later known as "PARVATI," the five elements: AGNI, VAYU, VARUNA, BHOMI, SURYA and other gods such as "INDRA-THE GOD OF LIGHTNING, THUNDER AND KING OF ALL GODS but, like everything has a opposite where there is life there has to be DEATH. The death also called as YAMA unlike others was a powerful energy having the capacity to devour everything in existence. so, in order to get it under control it had to be fused with a god, but not a normal god, it had to be a god who knew the difference between right and wrong. With these conditions to meet the Trimurtis chose Dharmaraja, the god of law and justice. The gods unitedly separated the soul of Yama ,with one being just a pure energy and other half which also had the energy but with its consciousness. The half with the consciousness was fused with Dharmaraja's soul and was made the god of death, justice and the ruler of nark Loka.
After millions of years Vishnu completed his 9th avatar of Krishna and returned to his abode of Vaikuntapur, and went into rest to regain his energy for his 10th avatar of Kalki, to pass judgement onto the world. Seeing this as a perfect opportunity Madhu-Kaithaba set his plan into motion. Before dying Madhu Kaithaba created an entity who came to be known as kali. All the asuras and rakshasas were killed during Vishnu's avatar of Krishna, increasing the dead souls by a huge margin. Yama Dharmaraja who was the ruler of the nark Loka was concerned with the over population of the nark Loka. The nark Loka was the afterlife for all the living beings including the good and bad asura's and rakshasas. in this Loka beings are judged on the way they lived their lives including humans, asuras, rakshasas, divine beings. Yama called a meeting with Aditya's (council of important gods consisted of Indra, Varuna(god of water), Agni(god of fire) and others.) to discuss the issue. With Yama Dharmaraja not being on nark Loka, Kali with the with the other gods broke the gates of Patala Loka. Yama Dharmaraj on hearing this news along with the Adityas returned to the nark Loka. on seeing all the asuras and rakshasas of the present and previous yugas roaming and ravaging the Lokas , the gods engaged them in a battle; but due to the old age of more than millions of years the gods were very weak compared to the asuras and rakshasas, who didn't age a single day since their death. At the end the mighty gods had fallen and died a gruesome death. Maya who was an enchantress with powerful mystical powers helped the gods in the fight. after the gods died, she closed the doors of hell with a powerful spell which didn't let any powerful asura or rakshasa to leave the Patala Loka. As The souls of the gods were extracted by the Trimurtis from their dead bodies, they waited for the right time to reincarnate them. As the world entered Kali yuga the world started to take a dark turn as this was the time where the humans themselves will be the cause of destruction and all bad things. as years passed Brahma thought it was the right time and reincarnated the gods.
