Damian still painstakingly served side dishes to Kana's plate, like there was no problem between them.
But soon, Kana put down the cutlery and wiped her mouth.
"I'll finish, Grandpa; I'm full," said Kana while standing up and walking away from the dining table after Alva nodded.
"What did you eat until you were full, honey? Eat some more," Damian said in a worried tone.
Kana stopped her steps and turned to Damian, saying, "Eat lies," sarcastically.
Damian felt like his heart was being stabbed by thousands of sharp needles after hearing Kana's answer. A frustrated sigh came from him, making Grandfather and Father stare at each other.
"Grandpa really doesn't know what your problems are, until the cheerful Kana can become quiet. But if you make a mistake, admit it. Indeed, what Kana said was true; there will be no happy ending if the relationship is based on lies," Alva suggested.
"Difficult, Grandpa," Damian replied.
