"Good, we will move tomorrow early morning to that village. So everyone, store your luggage into rings and sleep early today. We have a long way to go," said Elena. Everyone nods and went to their rooms to get ready for their journey.
The next day morning, all four of them got ready for their travel, and they packed enough food for a week. Normally it will take 10 to 15 days to reach the village from Orlando if you travel by carriage as you need to travel through forests which are infested with various beasts and bandits.
That is for normal people who couldn't use mana. But since these four had mana and the weakest one among them is at rank2 high(each rank has 4 divisions: low, mid, high and peak just remaining if I didn't mention earlier.) so they can travel the same distance within four days but just to be on the safe side, they packed for a week although they can hunt beasts which are edible every now and then.
They travelled by the day and slept by the night. Even though Jack is a magician with the ability to control space, he couldn't directly make them jump to that village since he is only rank2 and he can only jump to the places he had 'pinned' in the past, unlike other space users who can open portals to the places they went or can have a proper image of the location he wanted to open a portal.
Even if he 'pinned' a place, if that place is too far, he can't open a portal since his mana won't be sufficient. So, he will drop pins every now and then on their way, so that if they need to go to Orlando again, they can go easily.
After travelling for 5 days, they reached Kondapalli. The estimated time of 4 days was dragged to 6 because they are attacked by several beasts on their way. Even though the beasts are at a disadvantage since all four of them will gang up on it, the fighting made them spend some time and also increased their intervals of rest during the journey.
On the evening of the 6th day, they reached the village. They didn't go to meet the person, they want to meet and they went to an inn to get freshened up and relax for that day and decided to meet the person the next day in the morning. The village has 90 to 110 families with each family consisting of 3 to 7 members. There are only 3 inns in the village since it doesn't have many visitors like towns and cities. Most of the customers of the inns are the soldiers who travel to and fro between the kingdom and the border post and the merchants when they arrive in the village to do trade.
"David, do you have any information about the guild and the person we are going to meet?" Asked Jack while they are having dinner.
"No, I only got to know that he is around our age. I couldn't gather any more, sorry guys," replied David.
"Don't be sorry David, we all know you did your best, given our situation we can't expect more," Nat said to him to make him feel better.
"Yes David, we are happy that you at least found something useful, so don't bother with any other things. We at least know that he is our age, talking to him will be easier than any old fox. And David after dinner, you go out and find where he lives and where the guild is and also gather any information about him. ok?" said Elena.
"Ok." And after dinner, they all went to their rooms and David went out to gather information about their future guildmate. After an hour or so, he returned to his room after gathering sufficient information and went to sleep.
The next day, they got ready and had breakfast and they decided to meet him in the afternoon since in villages most people go out to hunt or farm early in the morning. Later at noon, they went out of the inn. While walking, Elena said, " David, lead the way and did you find any extra information about him?"
Leading them through the village roads towards the exit towards the sea saying, "Most of the people in the village don't know him since it was only 2 weeks since he opened the guild and only the village chief was informed about him and met him and that too only once. All the information about him is known only to a few individuals. And he never left his hut that he build after he arrived in the village that is out of the village."
"What? Why is he still staying in his house? What is he doing in there all this time?" Asked Elena dumbfoundedly.
"No one knows, we can find it if we want," replied David.
"Hmm... we will see when we go there," said Elena.
Talking like this, they went out of the village through the south gate as that is where the person they wanna meet stays. After coming out of the gate, they can see the outline of a hut from the gate which is probably half a mile apart. They quickly went to the hut and knocked on the door.
*knock* *knock*
They waited for some time and they didn't hear any response.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
Now they knocked as loudly as they can without breaking the door. Still no response. They thought that he is not there and decided to leave, then the door slowly opens and reveals a person who is in the hut. A man who is in his early twenties with a height of 5'8" which is not that much tall, with black hair which is dishevelled and light brown eyes which are small. His round face is fair but also tanned a little.
He is currently wearing a blue T-shirt with red and white horizontal lines on it, and a pair of knee-length shorts which are also blue in colour. After opening the door, he slowly came out while keeping his right palm on his mouth to cover his yawn and his sleepy eyes looking at the four people in front of him in annoyance and shouted, " Damn you salesmen you woke me up early in the morning. I don't want to buy anything." and slams the door on their faces.
Everyone's faces are twitching...
