Chapter 3 - Mad Bull

Lin Lei spent the entire night pondering how to awaken his bloodline but to no avail.

The orc from the Dog Clan had organized a prison break, but they had not made any progress either.

As the noise from the arena above entered the dungeon, the head warden returned to the dungeon with his whip.

It was already midnight when the dog orc was hung by two iron hooks on his face. The skin on his face had completely separated from his bones, and his yellow teeth with food residue were exposed to the air.

The warden took small steps as he admired the work. After a moment, he turned his eyes to the jailer beside him.

"Put him down and pick nine of its kind to form a team of ten."

Hearing the head warden's words, the prisoners subconsciously retreated.

As the sound of the chains fell, the dog orc was put down. Then, there was a commotion and a few orcs were dragged out.

"Release me! I need to break out of prison!"

"Don't!"

"Mother! Mother!"

...

The head warden listened to the cries as if he was listening to beautiful music. He had a look of enjoyment on his face.

"You guys are in luck. Today is a team battle.

"The chances of ten people surviving is much higher than just one. Of course, that's only if you have enough courage."

Hearing the head warden's words, the orcs who were pulled out of the prison seemed to calm down a little.

After all, numbers did indeed bring some courage. One of the dog orcs suddenly pointed at Lin Lei and said loudly, "My Lord, since it's a team battle, I'd like to fight with our priest!"

Lin Lei was speechless.

He was the only captured priest.

The warden and the other slaves all turned to look at Lin Lei. The warden laughed.

"That's good. You're quite thoughtful."

"But I hate it when someone teaches me how to do things. Someone, hang this guy up."

With a ghostly wail and a howl, the dog orc's face was hooked by an iron hook, and he was hung up.

Before Lin Lei could even let out a breath of relief, he saw the head warden's whip point toward him.

"There's an empty spot in the ten-man team now. You'll go with them."

Lin Lei even felt like stabbing the dog with a knife.

However, he did not have the chance to refuse.

The people who were brought out of the dungeon were brought to a corridor.

The jailer shouted for them to take off their clothes, and a few strong slaves began to apply olive oil on themselves.

Lin Lei was not experienced in this. Lin Lei was dragged to one side where he was changed into a priest's robe.

The snow-white priest's robe was of a much higher level than the one Lin Lei had worn back in the tribe. Lin Lei guessed that this was the legacy of some unlucky high priest of the Orc Tribe.

"I didn't expect to be promoted in the coliseum."

Lin Lei laughed self-mockingly, and then he was surrounded by a few female slaves, who began to apply some makeup on his face.

As the lead-filled makeup covered the dark circles under his eyes, Lin Lei's beautiful face seemed to be glowing.

Not to mention the female slaves present, even the jailers were a little dazed by his appearance.

After that, they began to distribute weapons to Lin Lei's group. Lin Lei was given an ordinary wooden staff, while the other orcs each received a half-meter-long bone.

That was all...

As the capstan turned, the metal door at the end of the corridor was pulled up.

A gust of wind blew past everyone's bodies, and the air seemed to be filled with the smell of blood.

Everyone was led toward the door. At this moment, an orc spoke to Lin Lei.

"Hey, Priest. If you cast a bloodlust spell on me when we fight later, I'll be sure to protect you."

"No." Lin Lei shook his head. "I don't know how to do that."

The orcs were speechless.

"How did you become a priest, then? You can't even do that? What do you know?"

"I'm a scripture priest, not a battlefield priest. I don't know any magic."

The spirits of the orcs instantly fell to the bottom, and one orc almost cried. "No, don't joke around, okay? We're going to fight later, and we'll lose our lives! What do you mean you don't know?!"

Lin Lei was helpless. The original owner of this body truly did not know how to cast spells. Meanwhile, he had only transmigrated a short while ago, so he did not know either.

The orcs looked at Lin Lei's expression, their faces turning green.

"Motherf*cker! He's really trash!"

"F*ck!"

However, those surrounding the circular arena did not know about this little story. As Lin Lei and the others entered, the atmosphere reached a small climax.

The host's voice was amplified by a magic device that was engraved with wind magic.

"Now, this is a standard orc team, and they even have a priest with them.

"This setup is quite luxurious! Priests are usually assigned to a squadron of a hundred people. Today, everyone will be able to feast their eyes!

"With the bloodlust spell, the orc army can be said to be the strongest infantry on the continent. If we're lucky, we might even be able to see the priest controlling lightning!

"And the team of orcs this time is also amazing! The Dog Clan is the main force of the orcs. They have rich combat experience and unique use of orc bones..."

Under the host's bragging, even Lin Lei began to doubt himself.

If he did not know that orc bones were no longer used by orcs, he would have believed that his group was made up of elites who had gone through hundreds of battles.

Any orc with some dignity would have died on the battlefield long ago. The orcs around him were either deserters or teenagers who had never been on the battlefield. They had no experience at all.

This group of orcs consisted of the old, the young, the sick, and the disabled. If they were humans on earth, people would give up their seats on the subway for them.

In addition, he was a priest who did not know a single spell. What could he do?

Before Lin Lei could finish his internal complaints, he heard the host change the topic.

"This will be an evenly-matched battle. The opponent they'll face is... Mad Bull!"

As the host finished speaking, the iron door on the other side of the arena opened.

The enormous black figure slowly drew closer and closer to the battlefield. Before Lin Lei and the others could clearly see the bull, they saw a pair of crimson eyes in the darkness of the tunnel.

"This... This ... is a f*cking bull?"

An orc next to Lin Lei was trembling hard all over like a massaging device Lin Lei had seen in a movie in his previous life.

Everyone else, including Lin Lei, had limited strength. They had seen bulls before, but they had never heard of any bull being able to emit red light from their eyes.

As Mad Bull squeezed out of the tunnel and stepped into the sunlight in the arena, Lin Lei began to tremble as well.

It was nearly three meters tall, and its explosive muscles were like a squirming mountain of flesh.

Swish!

Mad Bull let out a long cry, and its dagger-like teeth were exposed to the sun. This also indicated that this bull-like creature was definitely not a herbivore.

"F*ck!"

Lin Lei's hair was standing on end as the memories of the original owner flooded into his mind.

"How is this a bull? This is a f*cking minotaur!"
