Blackhand and his brothers sat in the stands of the training grounds, watching with satisfaction as the orc warriors below practiced their swordplay against each other in the hall.
After several months of seesaw battles with the Dark Iron Dwarves, they had finally managed to secure their footing.
The most significant output of Blackrock Spire was the massive amount of Dark Iron Ore. Using the metal from here, coupled with the forging techniques obtained from the Dark Iron Dwarves, the equipment of the Blackrock Clan had once again been upgraded. Uniform black iron heavy armor and sharp blades were a far cry from the dire days when every man had nothing but an axe to wield.
The heavy armor regiment of the Blackrock Clan was finally reestablished. Looking at the rows of ironclad 'tinned cans' training below, Red Blackhand's pride swelled—this was the foundation of the Blackhand family.
