"Of course I have an ulterior motive, everyone does things for a reason in this world. I am helping you for my reasons; what else could it be, that you look handsome?"
Mo Fei was rendered speechless by this comment. "That's not entirely impossible," he muttered under his breath. "So, what is your ulterior motive?"
Emperor Shenwu was straightforward. "I need Plot Points to upgrade my rank. I'm already Epic rank five. Do you have any idea what that means? Just one more rank up, and I can ascend to Legendary."
"You must be thinking, Legendary rank one and Epic rank five aren't that much different, right? Is it just about having one more Hero Skill..."
Mo Fei's interest was piqued. "Isn't that the case?" he asked, though he already had a suspicion of the answer.
It certainly was not.
Emperor Shenwu simply spread his hands: "Hehe, well—I don't know."
