Gedwyn (Prince of Lordaeron): "I did not do this, I swear by the Holy Light! I have absolutely not conspired with the Orcs to harm my father, and if what I say is a lie, then let the Holy Light judge me."
This statement still carried some weight, as the Holy Light is a symbol of justice and sanctity. Gedwyn, as a favored follower of the Holy Light and swearing by its name, had a certain degree of credibility.
A few of Gedwyn's close brothers also began to speak up for him.
Augustus (Prince of Lordaeron): "I also think it makes sense. How could our elder brother do such a thing? He is a chosen one of the Holy Light."
Alexander (Prince of Lordaeron): "Our elder brother must have been framed. I believe him."
Valkyrie (Princess of Lordaeron): "That's right, our elder brother is the 'Glory of the Holy Light.' People might make mistakes, but how could the Holy Light misjudge someone?"
