Darkness cloaked the silent night of Silverpine Forest, and the sound of horse hooves broke the tranquility of the night. A group of knights sped along a path in the forest and came to a halt at a crossroads.
On either side of the road lay dense woods. A hazy figure of a small town could be seen in the distance to the east, and to the west loomed the ominous forest.
Not far from the bridge, a murloc with its body soaked in the water peeked out its head, curiously staring at these uninvited guests.
"Your Highness, this is Brinell. Just ahead lies the boundary of Silverpine Forest, a perilous area known as the Dark Forest. Should we find somewhere to rest for the night?"
The attendant said, his gaze involuntarily drawn toward the small town in the east.
"No, we continue on," Arthas said, resolute.
