Generally, when it comes to boss battles, heroes can't defeat a boss of the same rank in a one-on-one fight, unless they're like the Dawn Divine Sword wielding legendary special attack weapons, or Hell Scream, the kind of plot killer with official cheats.
In the end, to take down a boss, heroes either rely on exhaustion or brute force. Such kills could sometimes depend on a Heroic Feat or similar acts of chance.
But in a war of attrition, a boss with more than ten times the Health Points will utterly dominate the hero.
The only possibility for heroes to win an attrition battle is through the cooperation of large Adventurers.
Therefore, the combination of a hero and Adventurers is quite elaborate, they must meet the iron triangle's job positioning. If the leading hero is a warrior type, then they need to be accompanied by more healers while also considering damage output.
If the leading hero is of the magical type, then more tanky meat shields are needed.
