Even King Aidan seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.
Mo Fei continued, "The reason we were unable to prevail in the previous battle was primarily because we did not rally all our forces, and also because our father, the king, did not join the battle personally. Should the king lead the army into battle himself, it would surely boost the troops' morale, and victory would naturally follow."
"Join the battle... personally?" King Aidan's face showed an expression of difficulty.
As Mo Fei was pondering how to persuade him, a noble stepped forward from among the others.
"Indeed, Your Majesty should enter the battlefield himself. Aren't you a descendant of the Highland king?"
This comment immediately garnered a wave of approving voices.
"That's right, Your Majesty, you're not afraid of those orcs, are you?"
These words put King Aidan in an awkward position; he had been terrified upon hearing of the orc invasion and to have him join the battle was truly asking too much of him.
