Malfurion's order for him to pursue and kill the murderer actually had profound implications. If the centaurs had no connection with the demons, that would be fine; it would simply amount to making use of someone else to kill.
But if the centaurs were associated with the demons, then by killing this "murderer," he would effectively be submitting a token of his allegiance.
Fandral Staghelm, however, felt more disturbed the more he listened.
"Malfurion, you aren't seriously considering accepting their terms, are you? They've killed so many of our kin, caused such great harm to our forests, can we just let that go?"
Malfurion glanced indifferently at Staghelm. "So you mean to continue fighting the centaurs? Until one side is completely eradicated?"
Fandral Staghelm nodded, "Of course, I am confident in leading the Night Elves to ultimate victory!"
Upon hearing these words, Malfurion's expression darkened.
