Chapter 80 - Chapter 80:new equipment

Soon the sun started to raise in the horizon and as the first rays of light lit up the sky someone in the rumble unit walked out side and pulled a odd bone horn that he brought to his lips and blew into it when he did a deep and load below came out from it this was the morning call to wake everyone up and boy did it after a few moments people ran out of the gourds house and ran to the training ground they was fully decked out in arms and armor shield and all this included the royal knights who my tribe has been training hell even Brancen and his guards joined in the morning training Shosa and Mesh walked to the front of everyone as they did I appeared in between them I to was fully armored up skull helm and all Shosa and Mesh stopped next to my and slammed a hand to there chest as Shosa yelled the rumble unit is reporting for morning training sir after he was done speaking Mesh yelled the grenadiers unit reporting for morning training sir I slammed a hand to my chest yelling good let us began and like that morning training began we started with a run to get are blood pumping after that we want onto basic work outs push ups and squats after we got done with are basic work work is when a few dozen of carts was pulled into the training ground sitting in top of one of these carts wall a few of those armored hogs pulled them the carts stopped when they got in front of me I grinned up at the old man asking yow Stone is it ready he nodded indeed and he looked over everyone saying demonic legion come and find the box with your name on it my family members will help pass them out line up and with that several lines formed in front of these carts where a dwarf would carry a box to the edge of the cart yelling the name on the box and that person would step forward and take there box before walking to the side before opening it Shosa and Mesh watched over these lines alongside there generals to make sure order was maintained many of my tribesman had huge happy smile on there faces when they opened up the boxes and seen what was inside them they couldn't stop but to laugh to brake it down easier I will cover each unit separately sense are two units had sub squads in them which got different equipment to there squads job so let's start with the rumble unit which had the most squads in it there were 5 squads the first was Shosa and his cavalry which was given the same rumblers in there boxes was a set of full plate armor that was very similar to the dwarfs armor the only difference was there armor was black in color and emblazoned on there chests and back was our tribes mark a gold 3 headed dog a white and black skull moon with a gray owl but instead of the dwarven helmets we sticked with the Greek style helmet but the wearer could put a mask or skull over there face if they wish we stuck with this style of helmet so the man could aim easier with there crossbows speaking about the crossbows there was a square leather storage device that would be placed on the back of there belts this square device had 6 cut out holes that toobs of spikes would be slitted in plus built into the armor was cut out for the crossbow slings this would make storage easier they already had there crossbows for ranger weaponry so in these boxes was there replacement melee weapons Axes, War hammers and war picks oddly enough no one went with just a club or burning star but no worries my favorite of these weapons was the war mall instead of the normal axe head we want with more of a splitting mall shape so a thicker and wider axe head and on the other end was a long spike this weapon was built for splitting armor or just punching straight through it the only person who had a different weapon from the others was Shosa who picked up a new halberd the exact same as his old one but this one had a black steel shaft and a obsidian halberd head nothing more he ran his hand over his old halberd foundly before he took off the flag from it when he did I yelled flag salute everyone shot up and looked towards Shosa we all stood at attention and when he attached the flag to his new halberd we all slammed are right hand to are chest just over our hearts yelling for the Tribe with that we had a moment of silence before we all want back to what we was doing the next squad that was in the rumble unit was squad Shosa called the red oni leading this squad was Shosa right hand man Valdora who was going to be are main foot troops Valdora and his man was given raptors as mounts they would charge with the rumblers and when they run the army through the Red oni's would dismount and form up before engaging the enemy on foot wall there raptors stuck close I outfitted these oni's with full plate armor but there helmets was based on samurai helmets but instead of bamboo and wood these was metal and chainmail even the oni masks was a hard steel there weapons was similar samurai based katana and spear but instead of the crossbows I outfitted each oni with two revolver pepperbox pistols with 6 barrels that I made a quick loader toob each soldier would get 3 such quick loaders these pistols could be stored on the two holsters on there raptor or there was a loop for one on there belt also the next unit was lead by Solly who Shosa given the name the small dragons since almost all in this squat was Kobalt's but there was a few Naga's who was pretty small these was the field engineers there job was to dig a trench or set up defenses for the ranger soldiers could hide behind this also left them the job to defend the field medics but Solly and her squad was given half plate armor with war picks and shovels for weapons along with any ranged weapon they wished Solly took a mix of all worlds a mix of crossbows and pistols along with grenades there armor was a red and black color the next squad was the field medics who I outfitted with half plate and chainmail armor with shield and morning star or what ever weapon they can find but mostly morning star or spear all in a orange color which showed there job as a field medic leading this squad was Valdoras little sister the one that asked the question to me when we first met her name is Orange and the squad is named after her the orange angels Orange her self prefers a thrusting weapon like a rapier so that's what she got but this unit wasnt meant to fight just take care of the injured but in this world there is no such things as war crimes so better to be save then sorry I also allowed her to choose any range weapon they would want the crossbow and pepperbox pistol the main choices the last squad of the rumble u it was the winged ninjas who were a mix of both units this squad did scouting and sabotage missions with easy and when the time comes they will carry out assassination jobs but in the battle they was our air force the dropped grenades and took out hi valuees targets plus if needed they to could pick up wounded to take them away from enemy they was given a chest plate that was pained blue that had a weave over it so they could hang grenades or store a weapon in it under this chest plate was a blue leather armor that also had the weave so they could store shit all over them for weapons I gave them the long-distance crossbow and the pepperbox pistol for them close up encounters as for melee weapons they was given long daggers that could slip right in-between chain mail armor I also have them a straight backed short katana at the request of Grackles he said it was tradition for him and his people to be outfitted with at least one of these swords but if they wanted anything else like cowtrops or even poision they would have to make it or get it them selfs this was the main force of the rumble unit next came the 3 squads of the grenadiers unit the first squad Mesh lead her self which was called the Hunters this squad was outfitted with the 3 shot long distance shooting crossbow for armor they had a basic green chestplate with a black weave over it under the chest plate was black and dark green leather armor and a Norse style helmet that was also green with a black weave over it these armor was basic camouflage and boy will it come in useful they all got two pepperbox pistols and a rapier this squad basically took up the place of archers but instead of standing in the open they will be in sniper towers and different hidden areas around the battlefield there job was to take out as many of the enemy as possible wall also reporting any changes in the army the next squad which was called the Boom squad which was lead by Mesh right hand woman Dusk and boy did Dusk love blowing shit up so much so that's all her squad does they was decked out in the same armor as Mesh squad but instead of the long distance shooting crossbow Dusk and her squad choose the short rappid fire shooting crossbow this squad job was to charge with Valdora and his man and through as many bombs as possible into the enemies ranks but another plan was for this squad to run with Shosa and his rumblers and through bombs as they followed the rumblers but this would require the boomers to stick right on the rumblers ass there was no room for error so this would take a lot of training to get it right the next squad was called the shadows these was my scout snipers they was lead by the orge that unsalted me after Valdora attacked me his name is Zorro well he was the leader on the surface the true leader was Mesh but sense she didn't have time to lead two Squads Zorro got put in charge temporarily Harriet had been training many of the grenadiers had been trained as shadows but only the very best was given the title as one these shadows was given the long distances shooting crossbows and studded black and green leather armor with black weave going through it so they could add more camouflage to it if needed plus this allowed them to store many things I didn't give them a pepperbox pistols but a gauntlet crossbow that had a few added things like a hidden blade and a grappling hook they to was given the long pointed dagger for going through chainmail plus a long curved sharp knife many of my tribesman started to laugh and compare there stuff with there buddies as they slowly took off their old gear and put on their new armor Stone then looked at all the royal knights who was just standing around and stared enviously at the equipment my tribesman was pulling out of the boxes he chuckled yelling what you damn idiots doing get your asses in line they all looked confused at him he side shaking his head did yall think your duke would leave yall empty-handed step forward and get the new weapons and your royal knights armor they all quickly got in line with shinning eyes Stone nodded good he looked over to me saying I brought your armor with us as we talked about last night honestly it was truly a honor to forge alongside another master smith and rune scribe like your self Azmo I chuckled bowing my head saying thank you old timer the honor was all mine l usually work alone it was refreshing to work with along side someone skilled like your self he chuckled and got up off the box he was sitting on and kicked it towards me saying come on lad lets see you in it I chuckled and picked up the box and placed it on the ground before I opened the box and there resting on stray was a full set of obsidian black plate armor carved into the center kd the chest plate was my tribes mark but on my left shoulder pad was a flying owl wall on my right shoulder was a green serpent for grandpa Loki and going down my gauntlets is blue lightning for uncle thor and the helmet wasnt Greek style but Norse and there was an obsidian serpent skull a bit bigger then the one on my current helmet below these armor was two new obsidian curved swords that had a silver and gold hilts but under these swords was a black lever action rifle with a white and gold stock and the lever was a bit bigger and more of a circle shape very John Wayne I thought as I ran my hand over this new rifle channeling my magic into it as I did my magic washed over this rifle and carving into the side of it in silver was a three headed dog howling at a owl next totbis dog was a wolf and moving down the barrel was gold chains that want to a sharp spike at the end but no screaming faces yet but soon they will be added I smiled as I picked up this rifle and pulled the lever down before slotting a bullet into the chamber before moving the lever up I then looked at the farthest tarket which was probably 170 yards I messed around with the iron sights and in one smooth fast movement I brought the rifle to my shoulder and took aim when my sight landed on its head I squeezed the trigger the hammer dropped and a noise like thunder boomed out as the helmet of that dummy I was aiming at flow up into the air I broke out into laughter as I cleared the chamber the empty hot shell flying into my hand I brought the round to my nose and took a deep smell before sying wow that's the good shit I said before passing the shell to Stone who similarly took a smell of it when he did his eyes lit up and he shot onto his feet howling wooowww you was right Azmo and he looked down to me with wide eyes that is the good shit I chuckled as I put my rifle back into the box that's when my eyes moved to the fast thing that was at the top of this box and that was a shinny white ice revolver that looked exactly like my black obsidian revolver in design but this one grip was a porcelain white with silver roses carvings into the chambers and twisting around the barrel was silver thorn vines o hello darling I mumbled as I ran a hand over this pistol before picking it up when I channeled my magic into it the roses started to glow blue along with the thorns I loaded each chamber before spinning it on my left hand finger before I got it and thrust it forward pulling the hammer back as I did and boom the chest of a dummy formed a hole I smiled spinning the pistol on my hand before I preformed a double shot from the hip again 2 more hole formed right where the dummies heart would be these two holes was stacked right on top of each other I laughed happily before performing the triple shot each shot range out one after the other as three tightly stacked holes formed in the center of that dummy head I brought this pistol to my mouth and breathed out the smoke from the barrel before saying god damn I am good hahaha I heard clapping coming from some when I turned around I seen Ark walking towards me he looked a lot better then he did last night he didn't have the wings on his back though so me must can form them no matter he walked next to me saying it would seem you still got it Azmo I spun my pistol on my hand before openening the side chamber cover and with the same hand I spun the cylinder as I did the empty shells dropped out of the chambers the dropped into the floor with a clink, clink noise I then reloaded it before spinning the gun on my finger before holding it out to him saying i do indeed lets see if you do to bucket head he chuckled pushing off the cart and walked forward and grabbed the pistol and with a fast hand the moment he grabbed the grip he spun the pistol on his finger before bringing it to his hip and shot one the bullet sank into the dead center of a different dummies chest he then fanned three more shots the first two shots hit the dead center of the target but on the third shot he didn't move his hand fast enough so his fingers got cot between the hammer and the spin when this happened he yelped fuck gods damn it and with his other hand he pulled the hammer back again so he could pull his fingers out and gently lower the hammer again I laughed taking the pistol from him saying it would seem your a bit rusty but all in all not bad I quickly reloaded the pistol before placing it back down into the box I looked around seeing everyone was looking towards Ark and I with wide fearful eyes hell many of the royal knights was half way with putting on there new white and silver pull plate armor on I also noticed they had the muskets with bayonet and pepperbox pistols resting on top of the box wall there new war hammers and axes rested against the box I glared at them all hissing what yall looking at this broke them out of there stunned states and they want back to what they was doing that's what I thought maggets I hissed before looking back to Ark who was looking at his silver blood that tripped off his right first finger he had a far and distention look in his eyes as he stared at his blood I chuckled closing the box and sitting down on top of it saying congrats mate you have discovered you bleed this broke Ark out of his thoughts he looked over to me chuckling it would seem time hasn't damage your smart ass responses I shrugged grinning definitely not so and my smile faded and a calm neutral expression formed on my face did you think over my offer he looked back to his bloody hand for a few moments before he side and lowered his hand saying indeed I did I nodded and crossed my legs before resting my head in my hand so what did you come up with Ark looked down at the group for a few moments before he side and turned around and sat down on the ground and leaned against the wheel of the cart as he shrugged I don't know Azmo half of me wants to join you and fight ones again I have missed the thrill of battle and putting your life on the line but the other half of me keeps stating all the reasons y I put down my spear the more I hear these reasons the more they sound like excuses he paused for a moment before sying again and looked to the others saying I us to be a general I lead fucking army and yet here I am indecisive on what to do if this was a battlefield I would be died that's when he looked to me before saying you probably think I am a coward and a fool who is overthinking thangs I shook my head definitely not Ark there is a time for peace and then there is time for war my friend you can't have one without the other there is a reason y the saying if you want peace prepare for war exists you can be the nicest man around who just wants to live in peace but there will always be someone in the world who wants what you have and there willing to stop at nothing to take it in this world of sheep you must be the wolf in sheep's clothing I will protect what I have worked hard to make and I am willing to kill and slotter anyone who gets in my way so and I stood up and walked to the cart where Stone passed me a spear that had a black shaft rapped in gray leather and the long yellow and orange glowing double sides spear head and there was a orange spike at the bottom of this spear I I slammed this spear in front of him as I hissed my eyes glowing with a bright blue fire so Arkhan Brightstar which do you want to be do you want to continue acting like a sheep and let people keep taking from you and run the risk of never seeing your family again or will you bare your fangs at those who wish to see you and your family harm if so pick up your spear and join me and my tribe and let us test are fates together not as enemies but as brother in arms so what will it be brother shall we take this new world by storm or will you sit in the back and watch the choice is up to you Ark didn't move when he heard my words nothing happened for a few seconds till he side and slowly he stood up and looked into my eyes that's when I seen the old fire back in his eyes his yellow eyes glowed like the sun as he reached out and took the spear from y hand when he did the blade of it burst with a yellow fire he slammed it next to him as he spoke in his old powerful commanding voice so when do we get started I chuckled and looked to Stone saying give it to him Stone nodded and picked up a box and walked it over to the edge of the cart before playing it on the edge as he looked down at Ark saying your lucky kid only Azmo has this sort of weapons so do not disappoint him got it brat Ark didn't respond he simply took the box from the old man and sat it on the ground before opening it and resting there was a exact copy of his old full plate armor from his past life but unlike his old armor which was a silver color this armor was black like mine carved into its chest is a gold spear thrusting into a orange star wall on the right shoulder pad is our tribes mark I also changed the helmet slightly instead of the normal knights helmet the visor was a black skull with gold lines moving up it just below this armor is a black and silver colt navy revolver with a white grip but instead of a rifle I gave him the repeating crossbow I think he would enjoy it more he crouched down and ran a hand over the mark in the center of his chest plate I walked next to him and pat his shoulder saying I thought that mark fit you way to well so I carved it there both as a warning to your enemies that your spear can thrust through a star so they should run wall they can but it is also a reminder for you the cost of being a sheep so best to show your true form that of a wolf welcome to the demonic legion brother you got much to relearn to lets get started shall we and I walked to my box and opened it before taking off all my old armor before dawning my new gear as I pulled on my gauntlets I flicked my hands up as a long shsrk blade shot up from the bottom of my rest I flixed my hand down the blades shooting back into my gauntlets I then jurked my hand down when I did a crossbow formed on each the strings already pulled back loaded inside of them was think spikes that could easily slip between chainmail but they could also shoot small sall blades my black revolver was on my right hip and my white was on the front of my belt on the left side sense I didn't plan on using both guns at the same time I might as well put put the hustler where it would be fast and easy to draw on my left hip was my obsidian needle in there sheathed actually there was only 5 needles there the rest of them was in hidden spots around my armor I then picked up my pistols them selfs and holstered them both next caned my curved blades the moment I picked up these blades I channeled my magic into them and both edges started to glow the one in my right hand bright green the one in my left a icy blue as all the runes on the swords lit up those colors I sheathed my swords on my back and moved the the bottom of this box and resting there was a black set of armor for Artemis I picked it up before storing it in my bracelet I stored all my old equipment into the box before picking up the helmet and waving my hand and like that the box was gone I looked around seeing everyone was about ready Ark walked next to me he was in his full gear I noticed his holster was on his left hip wall his spear was in his right hand slung over his left shoulder was his crossbow and the square toob storage device was on the back of his belt he had his visor up so the skull visor wasnt covering his face and on his left wrist was a rilver bracelet he looked around and side are those muskets and pepperbox pistols I nodded but of course all those the muskets are smooth boor we didn't have time to make them rifled but the pistols are tell me Ark these human armies heading are way are they related to the Templars he side and shook his head yes and no they are crusaders which in my opinion are way worse then Templars these man are nothing but a munch of crooks and killers that's where they recruit from prisons they say after they go through the training the criminals are reformed in the eyes of god but that couldn't be farther for the truth these man thrive off pillaging and everything that comes with it they say its in the name of god that they only take orders from god himself but in truth they are the bishops armies I side shaking my head so do you know y they chose this place as there target he nodded yes they wish to destroy the dwarf and elf kingdom cuz they allowed some of there people to be turned to the demons side they think if one is swayed by the power of the demons the hole kingdom will fall to them the holy bishops also had a vision that a powerful mage was living in some ruins in these woods he said this mage is converting with the demons and the holy land needs to be cleansed of this heresy so they marched to war I nodded makes sents Ark looked down at his armor and side Azmo dont tell me this armor is made to defend against hand cannons I laughed o my good mate these armors was made to defend against much more then that musket balls he side again shaking his head you are going to turn this world upside down with you're adventures I shrugged perhaps but all the arms and armor you see in front of you has a little secret in them that will prevent anyone who I don't want to touch my craft Ark eyes want wide you didn't do the thing all your posse did right I grinned over to him and winked before I walked forward yelling form up maggots they all quickly did and I nodded Shosa take our man and start combat training take Ark here with you he nodded yelling yes sir and with that they walked away a distance and started melee combat training I looked to Mesh saying range combat go she nodded and like that her unit was gone to all that was left was the royal knights who had there muskets slung over there shoulders and on there hip was there pistol then there other hip was there melee I nodded ok you all have been drilling with sticks in low if the rifles but today you have the real thing so fork up into the groups I said know and get ready to fire they all yelled yes sir and got in a firing line one person would be crouching down another person stood slightly off to there side over them I walked to the side my hands going behind my backs as I yelled first valley ready yes sir and I herd hammer be pulled back I looked towards the dummies yelling these are just dummies they would charge at you to take your lifes so ingrain these words into your hearts and maybe you will live do not fire till you see the whites in your enemies eyes do I make my self clear Yes sir I nodded good first valley ready aim and fire when I yelled that hundreds of muskets want off at ones which made a smoke cloud but we could still see I yelled second valley ready aim and fire again hundreds of muskets want off thurd valley I yelled ready aim and fire and again hundreds of muskets going off again first valley ready again but I noticed they was going to slow I was using the three valley technique normal after the first valley the two people that just fired get replaced by the second valley then the second valley gets replaced by the third the idea is to give each firing group time to reload wall also continuing to fire a trained soldier who is experienced in these sorts of rifles could do it but this was the first time these guys was picking up a musket so they just needed time for them to learn the weapon and I plan on drilling the fundamentals into them but I then yelled yall took to long fix bayonets and charge the enemy they did as I said and charged as they ran forward they screamed a battle cry I smiled seeing them skewer the dummies after a few seconds of this I yelled ok come on back but in comment leave your bayonets fixed the seconds to fix it could be all the enemy needs to kill you so reload and go again yes sir.
