Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Escaping the Dark

The girl spoke up seemingly broken, "Revenge? On Father?" I said in a confident tone, "Yeah revenge he tried to kill you after all. It makes sense to want revenge. Can you think of a good reason he would want to kill you anyways?" I wanted to strike at her vulnerabilities since it seemed she had some daddy issues I needed to get out of this hellish town, and she was my only hope right now. The girl spoke up, "Father has always treated me poorly since he said I always reminded him of my mom who left for the surface many years ago." I latched onto that, "Why did your mom leave?" The girl said sadly, "My mother left because she couldn't deal with my fathers physical, and verbal abuse anymore. She abandoned me with my father." I explained, "Your father seems like a real piece of work. Instead of living with that scumbag why don't you come with me and my friends? I guarantee it will be funner than spending everyday in this pit in the dark, and we won't even try to kill you."
