Chapter 13 - Let Vengeance Be Your Song

Anakin stood at the bridge of his ship with the escape pod in front of him.

"Sir." One of the clones on the computer grabbed Anakin's attention.

Anakin turned to the clone. "Speak."

"We scanned the escape pod and found no life forms, it's empty, Sir." The clone said.

Anakin pinched the bridge of his nose. "Why did I leave the vessel without any guards, ahh, I could have stayed and searched for him. What am I doing?" Anakin whispered to himself.

"Let's go back to the vessel, this time I'll be ready." Anakin was organizing the clones to travel back to the vessel until Rex walked into the room.

"Belay those orders!" Rex commanded. The clones stooped what they are doing, but they were a little shocked by the orders.

"What are you doing, Rex." Anakin was a little frustrated but also surprised by Rex's command.

"Sorry, Sir, but our orders come from the council itself. They said to leave the individual and focus on our current task." Rex said while pulling out a holoprojector with Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan: "Anakin, the council has agreed that we should focus on our current tasks and then focus on these individuals shortly, for now, you are to head over to Musphil in the outer realm and take a Separatist base with the help of Master Secura and Master Uduli." The holoprojector turned off and Anakin's anger started to surface once more.

Rex could feel it and acted quickly. "Everyone, make way for Musphil!" All the clones began to work together and rush to their duties.

Rex left, not wanting to deal with Anakin.

Anakin kept a scowl on his face as he left the bridge.

Ahsoka had been having trouble getting rid of the feeling the hands left on her body, when she tried to get rid of the feeling, she felt uncomfortable without the hands touching her.

Ahsoka couldn't meditate with her mind elsewhere. She left her room and decided to train with the comes, to try and rid her of the feeling.

Over the next 10 days travelling to Alderann, Krieg and Kali talked about many things, Kali would ask about where Krieg come from and Krieg asked about her culture and some basic knowledge about this whole galaxy.

"We've arrived." The captain said.

As Krieg and Kali looked at the planet, a transmission sounded through the come.

"State your business."

"I'm carrying refugees from Tatooine." The captain responded, no longer threatened by the presence of Krieg.

"You will have to speak to the queen about this matter, you will be allowed to land and you will get an escort to the palace. The refugees have to stay inside the ship until you get confirmation from the queen." The voice said.

"Thank you."

As the captain hung up, he stiffened as he felt the pressure of Krieg behind him. It felt like his body itched as a warning.

As the captain turned toward Krieg, the itch went from his back to his face. "Is there anything else?"

Krieg wasn't looking at the man, he looked at the planet with his hands behind his back. Such a beautiful planet, he would never have seen such a planet if he was still in the Death Korps.

"We will join you as bodyguards, once we reach the palace, Kali and I will leave, but... I am thinking of turning this vessel into my vessel." Krieg said with causality, and calmness that the captain took a while before he comprehended what he said.

"You can't do that! This is my ship! And it belongs to Tatooine!" The captain had stood up from his seat with confidence. Unfortunately, his confidence left his body once he barely reached Krieg's chest.

"Unfortunately, you have no choice in the matter. You care about these, right?" Krieg pulled out golden credits, still looking at the planet. "If you obey my orders, you will get more of these than you can count, you could be more powerful than the Hutt cartel, people would kneel before you as you held their lives in your palm, you could make a click of your fingers and either make someone rich or kill them. Doesn't that sound appealing?"

The captain looked down in shame as he felt giddy as his imagination ran wild, such power felt impossible for him. Although this giant man had faith in him, and something about it made him feel a sense of pride, he wasn't fully convinced. 'If I join him and become as rich as he says, then I get the money, leave, and retire, and if that doesn't work out, I can just sell the ship or something.' The captain smiled at his plan and accepted Krieg's invitation.

"Okay fine, once these refugees are off the ship then we can use the ship freely."

"Good, good."

Kali and Krieg walked down to the loading bay, waiting for them to land.

"Do you trust him?" Kali asked as they walked down the hallways.

"No, he will simply wants power, he will be his downfall, for now, he is an asset I need," Krieg responded.

After walking for a few minutes, Kali asked where they were going.

"I'm implementing a backup plan."

The vessel's door opened with a hiss, revealing a squad of armed soldiers with an officer in the middle.

The captain walked out with Krieg and Kali in tow.

"Are you the captain?" The officer asked as she emerged from the cluster of guards.

"Yes."

"Good, put your information here." The officer handed a tablet and the captain signed away.

Krieg looked around marvelling at the structures he could see in the distance, the baby blue sky, the lush green forests and the warm sun.

"What a beautiful place," Krieg whispered.

"Okay, that's all in order. Are these your bodyguards?" The officer said, catching the captain's surprise.

"Ah... Bodyguards?" The captain turned to Krieg and Kali. "Yeah, they're my bodyguards." The Captain said begrudgingly.

"Good. We will now escort you to the palace. Come along." The guards turned around and followed the officer to a car.

The captain, the officer, Krieg and Kali hopped on and took off to the palace.
