A stranger walked through the desolate fields of the dead zone, two sheaths clanked together as he walked. He suddenly stopped at a sign to what looked like a humble town.
"Hello?" The stranger yelled, he waited but there was no response, he walked into the town tapping on the gun holster on his waist, his right hand looked like it was porcelain from an old doll
He walked around the town, he looked around at the buildings which had been taken over by nature, but even with all this there was no signs of active life, no animals, no insects, no people, only remnants. The stranger stopped when he stepped on something, he lifted his foot up, it was a teddy bear, it had ash covering it's right side, he couldn't help but look, he had got a sudden stinging pain in his head, he dropped the teddy bear and put his hands on his head."
{Flashback}
A boy raised his blood covered arm and reached out to the sky, his arm twitched as if the boy was just barely gripping onto life.
{Reality}
The pain ended just as abruptly as it started, the stranger took his hands off his head and took deep breaths.
"What was that? It felt wrong…." The stranger said to himself
Something started to cause a racket in the café nearby, the stranger looked over at the building with confusion, he pulled out his gun and walked into the building. He didn't find what he was expecting, which was some kind of animal, instead he found a REO unit beating it's head against a wall.
"Damnit." He put his gun back in his holster, he sat there for a minute and watched before looking down at his right hand "Just like a human…." the stranger shook his head and unsheathed the shorter blade, he knocked a mug off of a table
The REO unit turned around, the stranger saw how similar the REO looked to a real person despite being a visually older model and started to get a strange feeling.
"Damn, not now." the stranger said as his body began to shake "Stop it, it's not a real person." he told himself, trying to calm himself down
Once the REO had got in range the stranger had pulled himself together enough to send the REO's head off it's shoulders. When the stranger pulled back his blade something had fell out of a pocket inside his coat, he sheathed his sword and looked at down, he gave a confused look, he had never noticed this pocket before, he looked down at what had fell out, they were dog tags covered with dried blood, he picked them up, he licked his thumb and attempted to wipe the blood off.
"Mi-Mikazuki?" the stranger said to himself "Is that my name? ….. No, that's wrong, it doesn't feel right. So then who is this? And why do I have this?" he thought to himself as he put his hand on his forehead "Why can't I remember anything? What happened? How did I even get here?" he continued, he couldn't help but feel like he was losing his mind, memories he can tell aren't even his and so many questions without answers.
Before the stranger could continue thinking the same sudden stinging pain hit him but this time it wasn't just in his head it was all over, he clenched the dog tags and dropped to the floor, he cried out in agony and started to curl as his vision began to leave him.
{Flashback}
The same boy sat there still reaching for the sky, a younger boy ran up and tried to help the blood covered boy up but he was too heavy, the younger boy yelled at him but he couldn't tell what the younger boy was saying or even really hear him all he could understand was "Mika." the younger boy looked back at something and started to run off as the the blood covered boy's vision started to fade to black.
{Reality}
The stranger woke up still laying down on the café floor, it was early in the morning and the sun shined through the shattered windows, the stranger opened his left hand which was now covered in blood because he clenched the jagged edges of the dog tags, he put the dog tags down on the ground and took a black glove out of a pocket in his coat, he put it over his left hand and walked outside, the sun was so bright he covered his eyes when he walked out.
"Mikazuki…. Who is that?" he asked himself, he took his coat off and hung it over his shoulders, he took one final look at the buildings around him before leaving
The dog tags left, glistened in the light.
{Sorry, this is kinda all over the place but that was supposed to be the point with his story in the beginning, he doesn't know anything or remember anything, also unfortunately I'm not working on his next part yet. I'm writing for another character currently, also don't expect these to be über long, but some will definitely be longer than others.}
