"Mary mourning days are off)
Jessica is in her room going through her school work, she has snacks on the lamp stand while her MacBook is on her lap as she types away on the report she's working on.
The knock on the door distracted her as she looked up from her Mac her older sister Mary opened it, it was half open already so she adjusted.
She has a bowl of food with a glass of water on the other hand.
"You need to get some rest you have been working all night and morning" She put the food down and got in bed with her.
"I'm sorry, how are you holding up" she asked based on her grief and disappearance from the club and her office only run by Simon, she hates the fact they have to see each other like that.
"Fine, Mom told me what happened with the reporter, was it so bad" Mary asked, Jess got the Mac from her lap as she sat opposite her sister.
"I didn't say anything, I know Solomon and I weren't close and I didn't give him the chance to know me" She paused and looked up at the ceiling then back with her two hands covering her eyes.
"I feel so horrible he was nothing but a good person to you and I treated him badly with so many judgements" Jess cried out.
"Come here" Mary hugged her closely until the sobs died down.
"He loved you, Jess, what I appreciate the most were you showing up for me including Mom, I appreciate it and I cook that spaghetti don't judge me I just watched the pattern from YouTube I learnt a lot these days from there, do you know you can create your videos on it too," Mary said grabbing the plate from the Lampstand handing it to Jess.
"Yes I know but I don't use YouTube for vlogging I don't have a life to share I only watch good content and travel" Jess digs a forkful of spaghetti into her mouth before going for the meatballs.
"Tasty" she praised her sister who wasn't looking for the best, she barely knew how to cook but the weeks she spent in the house mourning and depressed over her boyfriend who wasn't coming back.
"I liked it when he was in prison now is just a tomb" Mary sighed as she picked up Jess's phone and went through her photos.
"I hate the feds they are responsible why did he accept their offer anyway" Jess asked as her sister focused on her phone.
