"Homeroom 804, you didn't come in for the prep" Jess stared at the message for the longest time wondering who may have texted her, maybe one of the girls did.
"Had a quick call to attend to, thanks for letting me know" Jess responded is better she doesn't care to know anybody right now she's dealing with a lot and the only therapeutic way to deal with the stress is to study hard to pass the council exam.
She dropped her phone while studying expecting a message back didn't happen until Jess was going to have dinner with Mary and Mom. Jess rushed over to hug Mom she was looking drop-dead gorgeous.
"I had to come see you with my very own eyes" Jess's mother was gushing all over Jess touching her cheeks like she had the slightest knowledge about her leaving the country because this is a showcase of someone who thinks that of course.
"Mom I'm fine, school work you know the council exam is just around the corner, I have to study" Jess pulled one of the chairs for her mom before sitting on one close to her, Mary sat opposite Mom.
"Good to know you're very much taking the council exam seriously any college in mind yet" Mary cleared her throat dishing her food onto her plate, ever since Mom and Jess did their little reunion it was like she was not even there sitting in front of them.
Mom raised her eyebrow at Mary at that very moment she looked at her as well. She slowly catches a breath.
"You know Jess has to go to the university right? I heard the club business is trio any plans of you running it" Jess wanted to answer the first question but her sister cut in so soon asking the most contracting question that has made her stuck.
"Nothing is wrong if she decides to run the club besides we know we are where we are today because of the club" Mary cut in dishing her plate of food as well, the last thing Jess needs now is for the both of them to argue about her school.
"Can you two stop bickering about this club thing, Mom I think is high time you show Mary a little respect" Jess said to their mom.
"What's that supposed to mean" her mom cut in shockingly at Jess if at all her brains had screwed nut in it.
"You know what I'm talking about mom, Mary isn't the devil, all she's trying to do is make sure our lives become better, listen mom I can decide to run the club with Bianca is not a bad thing. Whatever has been decided is to do both" Jess answer the question.
"I don't think that's what we are talking about right now" Mom cut in interrupting Jess.
"Jess had decided to go to school and I supported it," Mary said.
"Then is settled, I will make sure I see you through it Jess I'm not letting you do this alone" Mary slowly put down her glass of wine In surprise.
"Mom Jess has more than enough to see her through college" Mary reminded their mom.
"The same reason why I want to support her, Jess is my little girl don't make her become like you, grow up so fast let her do things that suit her age, I want to be part of it I know the two of you has plenty of money as a mother let me take responsibility as well, well I can be counted on"
"Mary if Mom want to help Let her" Mary picked up one of the napkins wiped her lips and left the table.
"You don't have to leave Mary," Mom said smiling.
