"I don't know maybe I'm used to hanging out with Travis and Chris a lot my brothers are my friends" she said still admiring the dress.
"Girlfriend, I was like you at your age always hanging with the boys, but I met someone which is Jenny and it was the best decision I ever made I'm sure you don't talk about everything do you?"
"Sometimes, well I will think about it...and thanks Mom" biebie gave her an assuring look before leaving.
Maggie looked into the mirror this time the dress looked very beautiful and fit and hugged all her angles, so she decided to go with it.
_______
Maggie got to her grams' home they were occasionally dressed like she did, maybe the president of Nigeria was coming in tonight.
"Honey! Honey!!!" Grandma called after hugging Maggie, her husband appeared from the other room in a suit.
"Aren't she beautiful tonight?" she asked him gushing all over Maggie who was beaming with a smile.
"So magnificent, her bride price just went up" Maggie shot her grandfather a suspicious look.
"Just kidding, you look lovely tonight" he rephrased as he pulled into a hug with his granddaughter.
"Honey you will be eighteen by month end, you can use some alcohol is legal for young adults" Both of them took her to the living room, and the waiter passed around a tray of champagne, this wasn't Maggie's first time having alcohol she started when she was fifteen years old but always hiding it from them.
"Gram about the ribs you only make them when is important, These guests are quite important I bet" Maggie sips more.
"Slow down sweetie, I don't want you to get drunk before we start dinner here have some water" her grandfather offered.
Maggie obeyed putting the champagne down and then drinking the water.
"Yes Mr Patrick, you should know his son Collin a very bright tech boy just graduated and now runs a tech company" Grandma said with so much pride if not grandpa was alive you could tell Grandma already had a crush.
"Yes sweetie, you must have met him" That phrase caught Maggie off guard she has to go for the champagne this time gulping it all, maybe one of her hookups has caught up with her but the name Collin doesn't ring a bell she has only fucked with the W alphabet twice.
"I don't think so gram, did he say he knows me?" Maggie asked looking around if she could see the sign that the waiter had just served them but he was gone, it was hard getting alcohol around here but at home, they always stand around and you could signal them from any angle.
"No, he doesn't know you" Grandma looked at Grandpa as she began.
"For a fact, he was in your dad's dinner welcome party" Grandpa nodded as his wife talked.
"So is a close family friend then" Maggie interrupted she engaged in this conversation in the first place because she thought it was one of her hookups now that is cleared up they can move on.
"His grandfather and your grandfather went to the same school together, best friends I think" Maggie stood up because she needed an air.
