"Nate have a girlfriend?" She asked curiously

"Yes, what about it Mom?" Princess took the box into another room her apartment didn't have stairs.

"And you are?"

"colleagues that work together, you know that right because I don't understand why all these questions about Nate"

"If you say so" She turned around toward the kitchen where she had come out earlier.

"You didn't answer the question about Dad, mom!" She reminded her.

"Well we will see you at dinner this weekend, go ahead with work I will finish up in the kitchen," her mom said as she eyed the brochure before heading back.

"Mom's relationship is off the table....he's not my type,   there is no connection and I think she makes him happy" Princess felt the need to clear the air, her parent had thought she and Nate were dating or had something going the truth is she doesn't feel any need of commitments.

"You met her already?" Mom who acted like the conversation was over cut in again.,

"No but judging by how he speaks of her means what they have is special Nate and I are cool as friends, not the other way around" Princess cleared the air so her mom could stop putting coma anytime she speaks of Nate.

"I didn't know you have a type what is your type like then" she asked.

"I'm not sure I want to talk about that right now mom, can we move on" Princess ran her hand through her hair frustratedly.

"Of course, I'm not gonna bug you just know anyone you're seeing male or female we need to meet either of them" Princess smiled knowing fully well her mom was being sarcastic.

Five hours later Princess saw her mom off to her car in the apartment garage. Her mom horned for her as she pulled out of the garage.

Princess waited for her to drive out of sight before she went back upstairs, bolted her door exhaled took off the Bottega slide into a fur flip flop opened up the drawer to continue her research.

Princess went through the dishes her mom prepared before leaving they were delicious compared to the tons of takeout she ordered every day.
