Emily gave her statement.
"Something about Alexis she never misses a day," The manager pulled out Alexis's resume handing it over to her.
"And have you tried to reach her to know what happened," Nate asked.
"Tried the line switch off so I have to replace her because Corey has to keep moving" the manager answered.
"Thank you" Nate appreciated and shook hands with the manager before they left. Princess took photos of what she needed as well. As soon as the door of his office shut he picked up his phone and dialled a number from his drawer. After two rings someone finally picked.
"Hi is Corey's manager, I got something for you"
"Shoot," she said from her end of the phone.
"CCR came by and I think they have a lead, Alexis George" he cleared his throat.
"Okay, who is this Alexis" she asked.
"She used to work here but left I didn't get the chance to receive a resignation letter, that's all I got for now I have a meeting I will inform you if anything pops up Are you still keeping your end "
"Of course, I haven't posted anything on Twitter so have me thank you for that" the manager hung up.
Princess sent the ID to CCR IT but the result came out negative they were unable to get a match. The system icons pop up with no credentials.
"You think she's our guy," Nate asked.
"Result states the ID is a clone, we should pay a visit to the address before we decide" Princess pointed at the address on her resume. Nate agreed. While they drove they conversed.
"You know if we are lucky we are only tracking down a girl who is probably a con artist and identity theft to start with" Nate highlights
"And that's what our department is about From my point of view she's smart, Did you see how she messed with the camera, Not a single footage has her face up she's always keeping her face down..... she's a prime suspect" princess back up the investigation.
Nate is trying to figure out how a theft relates to a mafia family they have been trying to expose.
"It doesn't make sense to either of us and that is why she's funding this task force to get the silver lining" Nate shrugged.
"Using one stone to kill two birds maybe Alexis will give us a dot to the mafia because we are looking at a criminal, not a murderer.....how can Corey not run a proper background check on their applicant resume" Nate implied, Princess saw a point there.
"The little family are the wealthiest in the state Maybe his mother doesn't want the media attention it can be an innocent intention" Nate pointed out of the context of the princess's question.
"Their record says otherwise, Nate!" She called.
"Yeah!" He answered to focus on driving while the map kept directing them.
"You have been briefed about the lil family I know the director doesn't have enough evidence that sticks, is our job to find a connection," Princess said.
