The warning bell goes, sadly, it was done to late, they were here.
In the distance, marching can be heard, if you had a birds eye view you would be able to see an army slowly appearing from thin air all wearing black, with a symbol on the right arm, most of them have a red skill with two swords going there them with the rest having what looks like a medic symbol. One stands out, at the very back they wear a plaque doctors mask, a cloak and cane seemly the leader of this army.
Mum "Skannon!"
" on it!"
mum " sapphire, I need you to help Guide as many people as possible toward the back of the village to were i will be, we will get as many people out as possible."

" SAPPHIRE NOW!"
" r right"
As sapphire leave to move people to the back of the village Skannon (dad) goes to his room quickly and you can heard something scraping across the floor, then the opening of something, Skannon comes out wearing half plate, duel swords that have glowing runes down the middle of both swords, a belt full of all sorts of potions and a crossbow and quiver on his back, and if you were to look closely you will see throwing knife hidden in places.
Skannon am pov
Skannon then appears at the front of the village and what he sees are multiple hunters with bows facing towards the army direction waiting to shoot " let's hope I'm not to rusty now, havn't fought an army of anything for a long time" Skannon says with a growing smile.
Sapphires pov
sapphire is going around the village finding people panicking and trying to hide as much of there stuff as possible, " hay you need to get to the back of the village my mum will get everyone to safety"
no one seems to be listening, sapphire starts to panic, sh*t, Sh*t what do I do, need to think…"
" sapphire what are you doing we need to get out of here" jack says running towards sapphire.
" jack, great, I need your help, I need to get everyone attention and Guide them to the back of the village as my mum will help everyone escape"
" ok, I have a whistle, will that work"
" it's better then nothing jack, now, blow it!"
An ear piercing Phwwwwwhht is suddenly heard, everyone winces, then most look at jack in confusion, " right everyone please go the the back of the village, my mum have a plan to get everyone out."
Random " ok, but what about the people who when into the forest" " I can't do much about that, all I can do is get as many of you lot to my mum to get to safety, we will just have to hope they will be safe"
Skannon pov
Hunter 1 " I thought the war was not for a years or so"
Skannon" same here but I guess they got inpatient or something"
hunter 2" any clue who might be starting it this early, any guesses Skannon."
Skannon" well I know it's not the demon kingdom, they are still recovering from the last war, it can't be the elf's or dwarfs we are in a pact with them, maybe it's the furry beast kin, they are always full of them selfs, or it could be the superior humans, heard rumours they are wanting to have even more land"
A couple of minutes pass and now the marching can be heard by Skannon.
"When you see them you shoot, got it, we ask question later if there are any left alive"
hunters" understood" thud, thud, thud, thud, 4 body's hit the ground as the solders in black fall.
" ha, I thought they would be tougher then that," one of the hunters say, as all of them continue to shoot, this goes on for a couple minutes with Skannon rushing the army and causing devastating holes within the formation by shooting massive amounts of ice with every swing of his swords, ( kira imbued the swords with runes that contain an AOE ice blast) somethings not right, if they had any prep they would have ice resistance or
something right, and they must of had prep.
They are falling way to fast with almost no difficulty…" Skannon decides to pull on of the solders masks off, while also getting a good view of the symbol they all have on their arms… " sh*t… they found us" Skannon with a panics look, pulls out a communication device."
Sapphires pov
" you did what you could sapphire, good job" kira says with a smile.
kira then starts putting a large amount on mana into the magic circle she wrote into the ground and it slowly lights up while doing this she starts guzzling blue potions one after the other.
" this magic is still hard to use geez seems like i should practise more" kira sweating and taking another blue potion.
"sapphire, jack get into the centre then the other kids go next to them, if there is space then start getting the women in and then the males understood" people nod and sapphire and jack go and stand in the middle with it slowly filling up.
The magic circle is full and it holds most of the villagers within it as it starts to glow, bright and brighter only to then hear cracking sounds along side the sound of glass shattering as the magic circle becomes particles of mana and fade away.
"GET OUT, THEY SET UP A TRAP" kira screams as the sky goes dark.
Looking up sapphire froze, as she saw a blanket of black dots falling towards them, time seemly slowing down, sapphire can now clearly see there's black dots, all of them have pointed metal on the ends, arrows, falling towards them like hail.
Jack starts pulling sapphire, trying to get her to move, not daring to look up, kira starts to drink her last blue potion and the arrows start hitting the ground piercing kids, teen, adults with no care on how they kill and as jack pulls, he trips over with sapphire falling as well.
jack now seeing only doom approaching him, he hugs sapphire tightly. Jacks tight hug broke sapphire out of her daze.
She realises if she does nothing both of them will die because of her. Sapphire's mind racing to find out what she can do in this predicament.
Her mind goes back to the warm feeling she had when she was forcing her mana core to develop faster and as she remembers that feeling a sudden heat washes over her body.
All of a sudden what seems like a blanket of ice surround both jack and sapphire covering them from the arrows, thud, thud, thud, thud arrows hit this blanket but don't go through , thud , thud, thud, thud, thud jack suddenly tightens his hug not daring to open his eyes, sapphire rolls over covering jack, thud, thud, thud, jack opens his eyes suddenly as he hears his best friend scream .
Now noticing himself on the ground with sapphire covering himself with her body, something warm can be felt dripping onto jacks shoulder and leg. As he looks over, he sees something red dripping onto his shoulder and leg and a piece of metal piercing sapphires shoulder and left leg.
The blanket of ice covering them both falls and sapphire quickly covers jacks eyes " I I I'll b be fine jack, promise, it it's just a scratch ye" sapphire says with heavy breaths.
" w we will both get out of here, promise you, I promise jack,"
" SAPPHIRE!" Kira then grabs both sapphire and jack and starts to run back toward her house.
As all three of them enter the house kira shuts the door and heads towards the library.
" miss kira, saph is not looking so good, she, she protected me with magic, I I think she use all of her mana"
" We will help her in a minute jack don't worry" as the three of them enter the library, kira's communication device lights up, kira picks it up
" Kira, they found us, the pestilence unit found us"
" sh*t, we have no time. We need to leave, everyone else is dead except jack and sapphire, but sapphire is injured and most likely has mana deficiency, came back home as quick as you can and we will leave. "
" Did the kids see?" " sapphire did but stopped jack from seeing all of them"
" be as quick as I can, still dealing with the dolls."
Unknown " hello, white fang" as kira turns around she drops the two kids in her arms as she is slashed across her left eye
" hope you like my new remedy , it works wonders if I do say so my self"
kira them fall to the ground unmoving. The unknown figure that appeared, he is wearing a plague doctors mask, with a cane in one hand and with his spare hand take something out of his cloak, a see through screen of sorts and points it towards the two kids, he points it towards the boy first, he then points it towards the young girl with two arrows in her, he seemly squeals for a couple of seconds only to then calm down and says " well this is a surprise, two half monsters, this is too perfect, I only need one so I will let you two pick, witch one do I take and the other I make sure I will set them free.
"Leave jack out of this, I will be an better one to pick, just promise… you will let jack go"
" sapphire, what are you doing, no pick me and let sapphire go she is injured and need help" jack says desperately
" jack, don't do that, I, "
" sapphire, it my duty to protect you,"
" JACK, SHUT UP, THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO PLAY HERO, YOU UNDERSTAND ,YOU ARE NOT STRONG ENOUGH. So let me do this for once ye, you can repay me later, I promised I would get you out, so I will." Sapphire said with the best smile she could.
unknown" and why are you a better pick girl, you are injured, while the boy is perfectly healthy"
" well, be because I'm reincarnated, so I have way better odd for being beneficial to you then he would, and as I said, I promised to protect him."
" ha well that does settle it then girl, I guess I will take you after all, so boy I will set you free"
the unknown man then proceed to pull a stone out of his pocket and speak" have your found it yet, project S.M"
" we have secured the item for project S.M. sir, we have also found notes from white fang describing the substance and how it effected people"
" oh that's even better, I guess white fang is even more useful then I thought she would be, anyway I guess I should set the boy free now and take you girl."
The unknown man put the stone back into his cloak and then precedes to pull out a flintlock and shoot jack in the chest. "JACK! WHY DID YOU DO THAT, HE DID NOTHING WRONG"
" to answer your question, girl, I. Set. Him. Free" thump, everything goes black for sapphire as she was hit with his cane and knocked out.

So the reason why this chapter was quite scuffed is become for some unknown reason I decided to change the roles of kira and skannon half way though writing it and did not change it properly.
