Roxana heard her mother dejected voice.
"Hmmm"
Roxana hummed and immediately end up the call. She immediately shut her eyes and lean back her head towards the seat and stroke the thin silver necklace on her neck, which has a symbol of infinity, surrounded by diamonds and a small sapphire diamonds in each sides in the centre.
She'd received this necklace on her eight birthday. These necklace was the best gifts she'd ever received from her mother. Even though, their relationship strained over the years, she nevertheless treasure this gift a lot.
Her mother once told her, this necklace was created even before her birth. Roxana had the feeling that there was a mysterious story behind this necklace, which she wish to uncover.
While she was lost in her thoughts, Roxana feel a certain someone kiss her eyes gently, that it instantly brought her face a smile.
Asher kiss her eyes one at a time, while sliding his lips on the bridge of her nose and then steadily to her perfectly proportioned red lips to which he straight away captured with his lips.
After a while, Roxana felt like he was licking her lips, rather than kissing her.
"Baby, your lips taste delicious today," he said seriously.
"Did you applied cherry on your lips?" he asked
Upon hearing his words, Roxana suddenly laugh out loud.
"Hahahaha"
With his usually cold and stiff face, she knew he was trying to cheers her up, which of course work, since she couldn't stop laughing at his serious but hardened expression.
Asher stiffly smile at her, which further make her laugh even more.
"Hahahaha, my goodness, your expression," she point at his face.
Asher rapidly turned back to his usual cold and emotionless face.
Although, it still didn't stop Roxana from giggling constantly.
"Ok that's enough," Asher spoke.
"Do you want to lick this cherry again?" she tease him and then she pout her lips at him.
However, when Asher suddenly lean in towards her, she abruptly place her index finger on his cold lips and smile, "I was kidding you."
Asher was about to say something when all of a sudden his phone rang which was on Roxana, since she draped on his coat over her body.
Asher saw Roxana cheerfully took out his phone from his coat, but the smile on her face instantly disappeared the moment she glimpse the caller name.
Though, she still give him the phone and immediately turned her gazed towards the window, as she stare at the dark sky totally disregard his gazed.
Asher glance at the caller name and without any hesitation he cut the call and straight away switch off his phone and place it back to his coat which is on Roxana.
"Are you still doubting me?" he asked her.
"No, I'm not." she uttered coldly and then immediately added, "Rian might be searching for me now, I should call him," without waiting for his response she took out her phone and discovered she'd a dozen of missed calls from Rian and Evelyn and therefore she immediately call back Rian.
The phone rang for a while, when Rian instantly pick up the call and rapidly question her, "Are you ok? Where are you? We've been searching you for almost an hour now! Roxana,I swear I'm going to killed you if you ever disappeared like this again!"
"Just asked about her conditions first," Roxana heard Evelyn chided Rian.
Roxana instantly feel guilty for disappearing without informing them, she's certain they might've been so anxious searching for her.
"I'm fine, I'm outside and I'm sorry to both of you." she told them and then added, "Something happened." Roxana spoke.
"What's wrong? You're really fine, right?" Rian asked uncertainty.
"I'm ok, I'll just go home first." Roxana spoke.
"Did that Shyne guy did something to you?" Rian immediately question her.
"No, my mother will be here tomorrow." Roxana replied, while ignoring a certain someone gazed on her.
Upon hearing her words Rian finally relented, "Ok. Text me when you reach home."
Roxana hummed and thereafter ended the call.
Roxana looked at the certain someone beside her and speak casually, "Can you stop staring at me and drive me home. If not I can go back on my own. I'm completely drenched now which make me feel so uncomfortable."
Hearing her words, he immediately started to drive his car at a rapid speed.
Roxana suddenly shut her eyes, suppressing the anger in her heart at his actions. He knew she hate speed driving, nonetheless he still drove like a maniac.
"For God sake, can't you drive slowly," she burst out.
To which he instantly slow down and slowly drove his car.
However, soon Roxana realises, he was driving the opposite of her house.
"These is not the way to my home," she uttered.
"I know, we're going to mine," he declared.
"Why didn't you informed me beforehand! Did you even ask if I ever want to go to your house!" Roxana exclaimed.
"Relax, nobody's home," he calm her.
Roxana instantly shut her mouth and glance outside the window, completely ignored the person beside even when they reach his house.
Does her opinion even matter?
Roxana walked out of the car and close the door with a bang.
