Chapter 2 - Reincarnation - Part 2

After the long battle against Lucifer, the King of Chaos, Alexander Dimitri finally defeated him. However, it did not come without consequences.

Clenching his teeth, Alexander suffered severe wounds from the battle against the King of Chaos.

"You really are the greatest knight to have lived on this era, Alexander Dimitri."

Lucifer, who was not lying on the ground, weakly laughed. Alexander, on the other hand, leaned his back against a pillar that was destroyed during their battle.

"....."

Alexander couldn't bother replying to Lucifer's remark. The wounds he suffered from the battle was no longer reversable. He knew that he will die soon. However, he maintains the pace of his breathing, which allows him to move his body even if his body suffered serious wounds. That was how he was able to endure battles against demigods. But what Alexander was up against was a literal god. Obviously, demigods are like ants to literal gods.

"A quiet type, huh? Still, for you to be able to stand up against a god like me, if you were to walk out of this alive, you would become a living legend... Well, you already are a legend the moment you killed me."

Lucifer laughs.

What Alexander did was a feat that was impossible for any other mortal to accomplish. To kill a god, anyone would think of it as nothing but a fairytale.

However, the fight between Alexander and Lucifer was broadcasted all across the world. From the beginning of their fight to this very moment.

The moment their battle began, the denizens of chaos and humanity stopped fighting. Their attention was glued to the tear in the sky in which an image of both Alexander and Lucifer appeared. Their battle lasted for many days, and even weeks. However, other than the royal knight and the king of chaos fighting, no battles were fought. Every living entity was focused on their battle.

Lucifer looks at Alexander and smiled.

"Good bye, Knight."

Lucifer's body slowly begins to crumble and fade.

Alexander, on the other hand, was struggling to get up. He knew that he suffered severe wounds from the battle so he gave up trying to stand up.

'Looks like this is it for me.'

Alexander thought.

His vision became blurry and body getting colder.

Before slowly closing his eye, he saw several figures running towards him. Seeing that their shape was humanoid, Alexander thought that they were probably humans.

But it didn't matter to him anymore. Even if they were to get the best medical devices in the world, Alexander was already past the point of recovery.

He could hear shouting and some were probably calling his name.

Alexander slowly closed his eyes.... and took his final breath.
