"Are you sure this is going to work?" Black asked as Lois was placing something on the scanner something that looked like a new one,
"It's not perfect but from what I'm told the Crests build this based off the knowledge they had of the Altima with the help of the Flares and therefore I had Peter help me make this." Lois assures pointing at the new scanner she had placed on top of the one that Lloyd had just used "This bad boy should bypass this old scanner and let you use the scanner because you have the DNA of the Altima in you."
"Why just recode the other one to do exactly what you want this one to do seems tedious to make a different scanner just because you want to."
"Oh that's simple it's due to the fail safe it has in place someone tries to do that to get into the vault and of course the Flares know what they're doing especially when it comes to teaming up with the Crests."
As she adds the finishing touches and a loud beep is heard Black places his hand on the scanner and soon a loud beep is heard but the Room doesn't open, he tries again after Lois tries to type somethings on it but once again to no avail,
"So Lois want to explain to me why it isn't working this time."
"Sir I assure you that this was working on the multiple prototypes we have and made there's no reason for it not to be working."
"Then find out why clearly something is going on with your calculations and it's not working on a simple door so go right ahead and get back to it now!"
Lois scurries off as Black stands there wondering what to do before motioning someone over and then leaving as Lloyd watched the whole thing he was also curious why it didn't work, I mean yeah the door is constantly upgraded every so often but why doesn't it budge, he thought to him and Jericho was there to answer or at least to help because he was a tech guy to some extent,
"Its due to the last upgrade it got, I know you're probably pissed off at your grandfather so I'll explain, in the last upgrade before Lois was born most likely her great grandparents put in a code that no one could actually change the scanner to any other DNA pattern only the Altima's in fact the code is complex due to how hard it was trying to get the coding for curse itself and it's not just the curse but rather a small amount of the actual bugs that'll infect anything that isn't us hence why it warns others not to use it."
Lloyd understood this to some degree and honestly was glad about all this but noticed the person guarding the Room was none other than Lyhall, he was someone from their generation why was he helping them out? Lloyd thought to himself before eventually falling down from his hiding place and sneaking towards Lyhall, making sure not to make a sound Lloyd drew his blade and watched as it fly away from his hand and onto the wall in front of him which confirmed his suspension, Sword's Rain was active and yet Lyhall didn't know he was there yet at least.
Lyhall had noticed the magically sword appeared on the wall that meant someone was here, but at the same time they more then likely just lost their weapon but who'd be dumb enough to try and get near him especially if they knew about his ability? "Who goes there! I know you're here it's best that you come on out before I make a contract with my Rain and you end up stabbed six ways through." He proclaimed watching all around him eventually in front of him stood someone he didn't expect to see Lloyd Moon the one and only,
"Well if it isn't Mister Altima himself come to find something important in this Room of yours."
"Funny you should mention that, no actually already did because I uh already was in there saw the whole Lois scanner and well honestly sad how she thinks she'll be able to get into such a fine piece of craftsmanship."
"What! When did you get past us there's no way?! Fine whatever but regardless I'm still to defeat you then minute you agree to the contract I already made."
"Oh just being stealthy and we'll having you guys be predictable I guess. Oh and what contract is that my good sir?"
"You can defeat me with a sword from the Rain itself and that's impossible seeing as you as the Altima also have to wear a blindfold none of these special glasses stuff."
"Alright I'm down, I agree to your contract Lyhall Sun may the best Wolf win." Lloyd proclaimed taking off his glasses and pulling out a blindfold and covering his eyes
Sword's Rain was an ability that was pretty tricky, it had an area that Lyhall could command over a realm so to speak, whatever the contract is that's the rule, the only way for the realm to disappear was for Lyhall to be defeated. Of course Lyhall wanted to make sure everything is in his favor because it's his ability. It was made up of swords but of all types, Lyhall would steal, spend or even find swords he could add to the Rain
"I know the Altima is basically immune to all Sword damage but you can still be stabbed which means enough swords in you and I'll have you stuck in the ground don't worry about it though I'll just be considered a Hero by all."
"You know I'm curious why join them of all people they literally enslaved our generation."
"That's only half true the other half is the strongest of us that Black picked out himself would be trained and given the chance to be blessed by the Crystal and most of all, he'd use it to fulfill our greatest desire."
"And what's yours Lyhall?"
"You wouldn't understand you're THE Altima and you'll never understand….Sword's Rain
Soon a rainfall of swords fell as time fell to crawl Lloyd could feel the area around him and see what he couldn't with his eyes, this was something his mentor had taught him dodging the swords, left and right, even stepping back, jumping up and using one to parkour off of to get further forward continuing this tactic until he was few feet away from Lyhall who was shocked to see how far Lloyd had gotten by just moving not grabbing a sword or anything to block or defend himself and yet he was untouched by the Rain. Lloyd reached behind him and grabbed a katana as it was falling and slashed with so much force, Lloyd had hit multiple swords and Lyhall, who was sent flying backwards hitting the wall and the Rain stopped causing the multiple swords falling towards Lyhall to disappear back into it, as Lloyd walked over offering his hand Lyhall accepted it and got back up,
"How in the world did you do that? I mean the movement was unseen or unheard of at."
"It's something my mentor taught me don't rely on all your senses especially if one is taken by an enemy in battle, she maybe deaf but she's pretty strong, now about this greatest desire."
"Oh that I've always wanted to be able to use Rain not just downwards but in all directions but even after opening the 1st gate I can't seem to understand the 2nd but honestly my greatest desire is to find out who my mother is because she left me a long time ago."
"We may have more in common than you think."
