As Lloyd's words stuck in their minds the battle had been decided, both Diana and Jessica had fallen at the same time, a draw between them led the 3 men to be the finalists
"Well a draw is the outcome well done Jessica and Diana." Lloyd proudly claimed as he walked away towards the center of the arena and stood there "Alright come on then."
Westen and John looked at each other and then back at Lloyd, Westen knew all too well he couldn't beat his brother in a fight and he wasn't even sure what John was capable of even after watching him fight Jonah, but Westen wasn't about to give up just yet and instead of the other foolish wolves who rush towards Lloyd, Westen started to walk towards him instead,
"Lloyd I'm fully aware that you're holding back, but I want you to know one thing I –" Westen was cut off as Lloyd had slammed his fist into his brother's stomach
"Self esteem is also crucial in a fight Westen, never doubt your abilities even when faced with an opponent."
Westen staggered as he got up from the gut punch before hearing his brother ask a question,
"What's your dream Westen?"
"I don't know."
"Then discover that dream." Lloyd said as he knocked his brother out after moving behind him.
John had watched it all knowing full well he was ready for anything and was in the same stance as he was before against his brother, Lloyd approached him.
"You know when they said you didn't have an ability I didn't believe them, but after watching you fight I'm surprised the first Altima huh."
"Yeah unfortunately my Gate 0 hasn't been working or maybe it's not there, but John I need you to listen."
"I'm all ears."
Lloyd began to write the word BANISH in the sand between them as John read the word he thought back to all the different puzzles and it all came together it was never about keeping their own place.
"So that's what this is all about huh well this doesn't change anything you need to lead our people to a greater tomorrow you don't need me for that." John proclaimed as he rushed Lloyd before stopping feeling Lloyd's hand on his own
"You'd be wrong about that, I'm not a leader to them, they're afraid of me. They need someone like you and Westen willing to change their views on the current Alphas." Lloyd answered as he punched John watching his punch bounce off him
Lloyd jumped backwards to getting a better understanding of what just happened knowing full well that with Jonah his fists were also bouncing off John had a field of energy around him and he needed a way around it but he had nothing to do that
"I told Jonah he couldn't win with pure strength and if that's all you've got then, well looks like I win by default."
"Not quite John you're right that I shouldn't be able to win but."
Lloyd was cut off as he saw his grandfather looking at him and he spoke, "Lloyd you're holding back from that day let go it wasn't your fault so forgive yourself." His words suck Lloyd but he was at fault until he felt a hand on his shoulder as he saw his father tears filled his eyes, "Son that day was something that can't be changed never believe it was your fault you are my son and for that I am already proud of you." Lloyd wiped the tears from his eyes as he stepped towards the light and soon an explosion of energy surrounded him, John smiled as he saw this
"So let me guess it's the age barrier they spoke of a rare occasion of a wolf seeing something at a young age which causes them to close their ability off." John chuckled letting Lloyd know he had saw nothing
"Yeah sounds dumb but when you watch your parents die you're filled with all sorts of thoughts."
John stood there excited as he was ready for this showdown but without a second thought he felt a punch for the first time in a while after creating his untouchable defense, he was knocked to the wall and noticed that Lloyd's fist glowed with a black aura and his final thoughts before losing consciousness was "Gravity huh…dang it."
Lloyd knew all too well that John's field was met to defend against physical energy but not elemental based energy well at least not yet he has the potential though, "I wish to fight you properly next time John but this time I needed to end things quickly."
Turning towards the Alphas and his uncle knowing full well he was ready for what was next he began walking towards the exit of the arena and that was the last time Lloyd had been seen as the victor of the Wolf Trials.
