Chapter 22 - The Awaited Beginning

[Timer: 00:00:00:15]

Just fifteen second, not like I was staring at it all this time but the timer made a beeping noise and woke me up.

Somewhere, it must have been a morning for some and somewhere, it must have been a night.

It is the edge of the end and the start of a beginning,

A dawn to arrive.

Wow! I think I could be a poet too.

Still, that doesn't change the fact that the sun hasn't risen yet and I am awake akin to a owl.

Although, I am already used to be putting some all-nighters being a perfectly common owl doing his job.

The wounds and fractures that I received during the fight with father have been healed using the potions bought here after our fall from the walls.

Probably, the reason he left me so damaged was that he already ordered some meds and they could not be left for so long.

I am wearing a perfectly white full sleeved shirt with frills here and there for the night since father said that we are going for some meeting in the morning.

The shirt makes a perfect combo with my aesthetic hair and nails that I polished to match my looks.

There are some pink stars painted on my nails that Natalia painted and I sure do look a little girlish now with my looks and long hairs.

I still pretty much don't care because Natalia was the one who did it and said it looked pretty cute and sexy.

I should have made myself a cup of coffee but there isn't much time,

[Timer: 00:00:00:02]

Here we go.

The floor started shining in white light as some weird ass circular pattern took their shape without any medium.

The light intensified and the teleportation magic worked to bring me to a chamber of shining bright lights.

The chair I was sitting on disappeared but I somehow balanced myself using my new hairs.

The place was completely new and unknown to me, I had never been here in my past life or this life.

After all, it is rare to see a chamber so dazzling that nothing is visible.

Still, there is a close resemblance I could make, the church, although no physical features were matching since I could see none, some kind of divine aura, as in the church, was floating in the air.

Then, I heard a claping sound.

"Illyum Green, or should I call you the prince of the great Askanier empire, Lucien Darknight Askanier."

"You said it was a game. Where are the other players?"

I smiled at the human like resemblance of fog, he is the GoG, as for how I know, maybe he and his angels were the only one knowing my true identity and also his cheeky voice was kind of familiar.

"So impatient, aren't we? Don't be so quick man, I wanted to have a chat with you."

"GoG, please don't take it negatively but you are the farthest thing from the image of God I was having."

A bead of sweat ran down my cheeks since he may get offended and kill me any moment.

But, I still wanted to satiate my curiosity for these gods.

He put his hands behind his back and started moved around like a child lost in his imagination.

"I know man, I was not originally a god..."

Spark!

"Ouch, you saw that."

Yeah I saw that, just when he tried to talk, a zap of lightning bolt came and interrupted him.

"That thing happened because I was trying to release some secrets of the heavens. This was just a warning, if I try any harder he may wipe out me, all my followers, you, and everyone who has ever heard your name and all those who know them well from existence."

He smirked as I gulped.

Wasn't that just too gruesome?

"Anyways, leaving depressing matter behind, congratulations on your discovery!!! You just found a way to improve your strength through your own original and unorthodox mean. You need even need the power of the apocalypse anymore."

"The power of what?!"

"You deaf-head, I said the power of the apocalypse, let me summon your other friends otherwise I will have to explain again and again."

He clapped his hands twice and a grand round table appeared with five chairs and a white throne around it.

Beside each chair, I could see a human silhouette, including me.

The god smirked as we all sat down and their figures became clear.
