"Are you feeling better now? You slept as soon as the first round and I'm tempted to tease your stamina but let's leave that for later." Kind was cuddling Wale in his arms. They often slept like this, including when they were kids and Wale would crawl into his bed whenever he had nightmares. Wale hadn't changed at all, he only grew bigger...taller and more stubborn.
After snuggling closer towards Kind's bare chest, Wale whispered, "I'm fine now that you are here so let's stay like this for a while."
"Oh, my word if we are ever to date I'd have to accept to raise both you and Kai. That is too much responsibility..." Kind said jokingly but got no reaction from Wale. He simply remained quiet, breathing gently on Kind's chest, who desperately was trying to distract himself from the tickling sensation that he felt every time Wale exhaled.
"Wale, let's talk about us then...I'm sure that's what had you emotional yesterday and come to think of it, it was the first time I ever heard you cry too."
When Wale did not utter a word, Kind continued, "Maybe you shouldn't live alone in such a big house with Kai. We can all move in together in a smaller apartment similar to the one we stayed in before...or if you want privacy, we could stay in a penthouse. This mansion is way too big for a smaller family..."
"I have to stay here...well, we could move into a place of your choice however, this mansion has been in our family for generations and I'm the last surviving heir on my father's side...All that I inherited from my parents come with this place too...
I used to hate living here after they passed on...I have nothing but bad memories of this place however, Frank often advised creating newer memories of this place...I used to scoff at that thought yet, whenever I'd get lonely, I often came here to remind myself I was once loved...
Mother was pregnant when she died...if I had a sibling, we could have split responsibilities and I'd live however I wanted but K, I ran away for years from my past and my parent's influence. We both know nothing good comes from running away...somehow, people always found me and if it wasn't for Todo's mother and Frank, I'd probably be dead."
"...but your father's cousin..."
"My uncle and his children can not do much at the moment since I'm an adult now. Besides, my parents were both from powerful families, especially my mother. Their union was more of a business contract. I was lucky they liked each other to give me good memories until they passed when I was seven." Looking up at Kind, Wale continued, "People like me and Todo are born with a curse. The influence of our families weighs us down and we are trained to take over from our parents from birth. If it wasn't for Todo's mother, I'm sure Todo would be in a forced marriage of convenience by now to produce an heir and if not, something far worse may happen to him and I'm not speaking of death... that's way too easy. They'd lock him up and keep him alive just so others could live off from him."
Placing his head back on Kind's chest, Wale sighed before proceeding. "That was my fate before my relatives realized I couldn't access anything my parents owned until I became an adult...they often saw me as a burden, or a threat since anyone that chose to raise me had a target on their back. Your uncle prepared me well though. I realized most of my parent's assets were in majority shares and stocks. They hated buying properties...it's almost as if they could sense their demise. Whatever was left of any physical investment is very few. This house is built to withstand any form of terrorism which I'm sure you know is similar to Todo's and especially her mother's mansion. People like us have very few friends around us and with the work you are getting into with Todo, I'm sure you understand now why Todo lives a solitary life too....well until you annoyingly made him a part of our lives."
"He saved my life you dummy and yours too so show him respect you fool!" Kind exclaimed, pushing Wale away from his chest to sit up. "Speaking of Todo, you might have to prepare a place for him here too, he won't let anyone touch Kai!"
Wale laughed wholeheartedly at Kind's statement. If only Kind had known Todo had been sneaking away a couple of times a day to spend time with baby Kai and when he'd run out of excuses, he'd purposely leave behind his belongings, creating a reason to return.
"I want him to stay actually, this mansion is big enough for everybody since he and Swalha are the only two getting along with baby Kai. Do you think he'll agree?"
"I don't mind, at least that will stop him from buying gifts for Kai as long as he's with her...honestly, this side of Todo is new to me. He is..."
"I'm already feeling jealous so don't say any more about him otherwise I'll kick him out..."
"You fool!" Kind exclaimed as he knocked on Wale's head. "...And will you please take off the bunny ears and the costume! It was cute yesterday but now it's just getting in the way!"
Grabbing both of Kind's wrists, Wale pinned him down and jumped on top of him. He knew Kind could easily overpower him but was glad when he didn't. Smiling, he looked down at his lover and then said, "I have the urge to devour you right now K Bunny."
"Let's talk about Kai first...you refused to touch on that subject yesterday."
Bending down to plant a kiss on Kind's neck, Wale replied, "I thought I told you over the phone I'll give her up to her grandparents..."
"Wale...I'm not that selfish...I know you love Kai and I can't let you do that..."
"But you won't date me..." Wale responded as he nibbled at Kind's neck. He could tell Kind was getting aroused slowly from the rapid thudding on his chest.
"That's why I want us to talk....first." Freeing himself from Wale's grasp, he placed both his palms on Wale's cheeks and pushed him from his neck to look at him. "I must love you so much to agree to this...Will you be my boyfriend Wale?"
"What?" Wale asked, unsure if he'd heard Kind right.
"Dummy! I'm asking you out! Will you be my boyfriend or not?" Kind was dying from embarrassment and as he's ears grew hot, he wanted to look away but somehow managed to maintain eye contact with Wale, who still seemed perplexed.
"The sex is amazing, the chemistry is good and most importantly, we like each other a lot. As scary as it is for me to be in a relationship with someone who has a child, I believe we'll do just fine as we always had. Besides, you named Kai after me...regardless of your insecure reasons behind it, I can't claim to love you and then deny you the chance to create a family you've always wanted Wale...so...if you still want to date me...I'll be happy to be your boyfriend and..."
Wale's lips were on his lover, swallowing the rest of the words Kind had wanted to say. He could feel himself shaking, his body grew hot, his heart beat fast, his breathing intensified....K...K Bunny... Wale called out his lover's name in his head multiple times before pulling away to look down at him.
"I love you, Bunny..." Wale voiced out his thoughts aloud, his vision blurring from the tears that welled up in his eyes.
"I love you too crybaby..."
