Chereads / Stains of Red / Chapter 29 - Intricate Dreams

Chapter 29 - Intricate Dreams

The world suddenly lost its color.

The two Saints looked around. Although they were still in the same room... it seemed as if a indestructible glass film separated them from the real world. Time seemed frozen outside of the scope of the film. Everything laid motionless, completely still and lacking of any flare.

It was only then they realized that hear each other, muchless anything. Both of them could still move their bodies, but it was as if they had lost they're feel. Their entire body was numb, the feeling was extremely strange. It was as if they were outside of their own bodies, like their were wandering souls stranded on the mortal plane.

While the saints were busy understanding the situation they were in, a petite white figure manifested behind them.

She looked at the world that Xi Heji created, mildly surprised. His performance was out of her expectations. As she wasn't an anchored being of this plane, she couldn't cast such a technique without resulting in the destruction of the current world. Instead, she would use Xi Hejis spirit body as a vessel to use 'Rendering Reality', which as she has fused with his soul, can use the created world to her will.

'I would say imparting much of my energy to his spirit body creation wasn't for naught.'

She then refocused her attention to the wingless birds in front of her. Snapping her fingers, a loud thunderclap permitted throughout the otherwise soundless world.

This immensely caught attention of the pair. Looking back, they realized they regained their sense of hearing.

Although the Sky Emperor had informed them of the Goddess of Blood, they had never expected to encounter her this early.

But where was Xi Meiying? The supposed person that the main group was looking couldn't be the boy, right? Maybe the Goddess had tricked their Emperor?

"You aren't the Goddess of Blood."

So, one of the Saints attempted to pry for information. Pysla remained indifferent to them as she remained hovering in the air.

'I haven't fought for millions of years. When was the last time I got to release myself?'

She manifested a semi-translucent gradient spear in front of her hands. Her dual-colored eyes scanned the two birds, breaking down their body to the smallest atom.

'They will be sufficient'

*Whoosh!*

Pysla disappeared from her place. The pair of birds widened their eyes.

'What speed!'

"Wings of the Eagle!"

"Origin of Winds Path!"

A pair of translucent wings of gale appeared on one of their backs.

On the other, wind violent shot in all directions, creating a field around him that is impassible… or at least he thought.

*Splurt!*

A translucent spear pieced through his hand. The pain he was accustomed to expect didn't come.

"Next time, I will aim for your arm. And while you may not feel any pain, your hand is still unusable."

She ripped the spear out of his hand, taking a few fingers with it.

"How could you avoid my Origin path?"

She looked up at the other diving bird, who with his wings spread, dove down with the image of a falcon looming over him.

"It's simply fake."

She disappeared, shooting up to the Sky to meet him.

The flying bird reached out his hand, a massive claw of wind formed in front of him. Seeing the incoming Pysla, he slashed down with his hand.

Pysla simply raised her hand. The moment the claw came into contact, it dispersed. The bird widened his eyes at the revelation.

"Wha- what!? How-"

Pysla disappeared again. This time though, she was untraceable. The flying bird looked all around, searching the infinite air space around him.

He suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder.

He immediately reacted by forming another wind claw.

Though not only did the claw not form, his air winds disappearing from his back. His body froze. An immeasurable pressure came down upon his shoulder. And in the next instant, he found himself in a crater on the world floor.

Looking up at the sky, the same small figure remained hovering, her face remaining the usual indifferent.

He suddenly felt lighter.

Looking towards his left arm, he realized it was missing.

"Next will be your heart, you only have another attack to defeat me"

She then motioned with her hand, wind picked him up, throwing him in the direction of the other bird. The falcon bird crashed into the ground, tumbling until he rolled into his bird friend.

The bird friend caught him, ceasing his roll.

"Are you alright?"

Pysla hovered a distance from the two.

The falcon bird looked up at the small angelic figure. He started laughing maniacally. Raising his hand, he suddenly plunged it into the heart of his bird friend.

*Splurt!*

The bird friend stood still in shock. Blood dripped from his heart, slowly soaking his white robes red. As he raised his head from his chest, he saw his falcon bird friend had his hand within his body.

"Why-"

*Shuuch!*

He removed his hand from his heart. As nothing blocked the gaping hole, blood pour endlessly, forming a pool of blood on the floor as he collapsed.

"Don't worry, I'll soon join you."

He retrieved his blood stained hand as he turned to look up at the floating Pysla.

"You made me do this. Although I may be dying today, you'll be coming with me."

He raised his hand as he placed it upon his forehead. Writing strange rune with the warm blood on his fingers.

"Descendance of the Ruler of Wind!"

The airspace of the world was suddenly flooded with violent winds. Slits in space started forming all over.

Pyslas pupils dilated.

Manifesting above the Saint, a tall eagle with pure silver feathers appeared. Spreading his wings out, he cried. The entire realm shook. The clear film which separated the realm and reality started to crack.

The Silver Eagle finally opened his eyes. It's eyes were a light sparkling green. They seemed to have contain the essence of nature itself.

"Ruler of Wind! I summon you to attack that being!"

The Saint hurriedly pointed to Pysla. He could only use the bloodline summoning for so long, he had to kill the little girl before his life force ran out.

The Silver Eagle followed the path of his finger. But the moment he laid his eyes on the being in question, his entire being froze.

Pysla also looked back at him. Though her eyes held no contempt to the enemy she was about to face.

"Ruler of Great Wind, Skyerial"

The Eagles pupils shook. Allowing his giant body to fall to the floor, he bowed his head.

"Queen of Spirits"
