The campers were eager to listen to Claudette. Barry was smiling. The warm campfire burned brightly in the summer heat. Despite it was June, the 77 degree weather was fine; the campers of Camp Crystal Lake didn't know about the mystery of what happened to Jason Voorhees, the eleven year old boy. He had had drowned in the middle of the freezing lake the previous summer. But, as it was told by the Christy family, the camp was still operational.
