Chapter 1 - Prologue and Cyoa details

I obviously do not own asoiaf, or I would be rich and this wouldn't be a fanfic.

This is my first fanfic so please don't give me insults, only helpful criticism.

----------------------------------------------

"Fuccity, Fuck, Fuck, Fuck!"

The yell echoed loudly in the quiet. Bouncing off the great trunks of oak trees, reverberating in rocky hollows, and resounding across the grassy hillocks of the deep forest.

The man who made the yell struggled out from the thornbush where he had fallen, a constant stream of more, quieter, profanities falling from his lips. He was a strange sight. A long blood red hooded robe fell down from his shoulders, a large old fashioned pouch hung from his shoulder, and a sword was belted firmly to his hip.

Continuing to swear he painfully bent back down to extricate a long black staff of wood from the tangle of thorns, the hood of his robes fell off revealing a head of necklong ragged hair that matched the red of his robes, and a face with a short red beard, a rather prominent nose, and dark stormy blue eyes.

As he returned to standing he looked around the small clearing he found himself in.

"Well I'm clearly not in Solitude, so where the fuck am I?"

My interpretation of CYOA result + my build (Spoilers):

Setting universe:

Alternate fusion of Roshar and Nirnđźš«

Aternate ASOIAF/planetos

World alt information:

"Deep underneath the fourteen flames, it is said there are caves full of the rare and mysterious mineral known by the old Valyrians as Atium. Atium is a typically brittle copper-coloured metal with supposed magical properties. Some maesters have proposed it to be an ingredient used in the magical alloy Valyrian steel, and the few known artefacts made of the metal are near priceless both due to their rarity, and to the difficulty in working of the metal without it becoming incredibly fragile or warping out of shape."-Maester Veylend: a treaties on obscure metals and forging techniques in the known world

"the few Maesters that claim the First Men knew the working of Atium and its presence in the mountains of the moon during the Dawn age have clearly taken leave of their senses. The sole "proof" for this; that the ancestral armour of House Royce is made of this material, has long since been disproven due to its great resilience, which is impossible in Atium, no matter what the local legends claim!"-Master Randall, in the great debate of 37AC

-------------------------------------------

"In the far East under the Shadow; near the Vale of Stygai, reputable sources state that there are pools of bubbling black mud sunk into the ground. From the pools emerge strange and terrible beasts with skull-like faces that haunt the area, attacking and killing anything and anyone that dares approach the City of Night..."-Master Yandel The World of Ice & Fire

"According to Daemons of old by Maester Biryn, similar creatures to the ones described in the shadowlands have supposedly been depicted in Rhyonish sources from Nymeria's Fleet (dating to their short lived attempt to settle the abandoned city of Yeen in Sothoryos), and have been recorded to exist beyond the fabled five fortresses of YiTi. However due to Master Biryn's notorious belief in wild tales and lack of adequate sourcing in his works made during the later years of his life, these must be taken with a grain of salt, as no sources similar to those he mentioned have never been found, or have been recorded to exist in the citadel."-Attributed to Archmaester Durran in his 207AC special lecture at the citadel

----------------------------------

"... And when Brandon ran from his tent there was a terrible uproar. Horses screaming, pigs squealing, dogs howling and barking. But above all the clamour, the roar of the hunting horn and the baying of terrible hounds could be heard…" "...Brandon ran for the nearest godswood, hoping beyond hope that he might just get there on time. But just as he was about to set foot over the boundary, he felt a sharp pain in his back between the shoulder blades and was jerked roughly back. A great hand reached down and grabbed him, and with the touch of the Huntsman came the end of Brandon the quick."-the tale of Brandon the Quick and the Hunt

Si:

Inherent characteristics, abilities, blessings, etc:

Omniglot:

Si learns written forms of known languages extremely quickly (a few straight hours of concentrated study).

Shrouded:

Si is nigh-impossible to observe, track, target, etc by purely magical means (e.g. Si is exempt from most prophecy, Si is difficult for gods to observe without using a physical avatar to do so, Si is nearly immune to being tracked by magic or having curses placed upon them without immense skill and power from the person that is using magic at the Si, the Si can be his with a fireball or other magic that is directed by the sight/normal senses of the user under normal conditions).

Protected soul:

Si's soul is nigh-immune to non-directed negative effects (e.g forms of spiritual corruption) and highly resistant to direct outside interference.

Mind Fortress, and Eidetic Memory:

Si has a perfect eidetic memory.

Si's mind is nigh-impossible to enter, read, or control

Sensitive:

Si is naturally sensitive to magical stimuli and can manipulate it with much greater ease than a normal person

Magical conduit:

Si can channel/generate, and use, immense amounts of magical energy. They will be immensely powerful with magical training

Demon blood:

Conversion:

Si has the ability to change most forms of magical energy into most others (nerfed)

Laughing Mage:

Si subconsciously perceive and react to "synchronicity waves" making them unnaturally lucky when trying to reach a goal, this is especially effective when trying to fool higher beings such as gods, demons, etc.

Will cause accidental connection with/entanglement in local events if Si is not careful, whether they want it or not.

Will cause entanglement in local major events (this can be somewhat mitigated but not entirely).

Pathwalker:

Si is capable of finding and walking paths between dimensions and Universes

Si has a natural instinct to where the paths he walks lead and can influence the destination to some degree

Non-Inherent beginning skills:

Si can consciously clear their mind for greater focus (ability can be disrupted by intense emotion or strong outside distractions)

Si has near perfect aim for distance attacks (with weapons/abilities practised by him)

Si has a very basic ability to use lesser magics (e.g. can light a candle/small fire, can create small Illusions, can manipulate a small cups worth of water, etc)
