Chp 1

It  was  raining  at  night. Som  who   was about  22 years old, runs a  pastry shop. It was originally his family business but due to an  accident his both  parents died  few years ago.

Earlier he used to help his parents making pastry.   Therefore  after  the death   of   his parents, he   continued   selling pastry and support himself financially.

Since  it was  already  late  night, Som was about to   close  his  shop. He  got  up and went out to close the shop.

As he went out, he  saw  a  girl was sitting next   to   his   shop. She  was  completely drenched  by the rain. Her clothes were all wet and she looked really depressed.

Seeing her like that Som got concerned so

he  asked,  "hey,  do  you  need any help ? I can  lend you an umbrella if you want. You should  hurry up and  return  to your house or else you would catch cold".

The girl  turned  her head  to the side  were Som was standing. She looked at Som and said in a  trembling voice, " I have  nowhere to go, you can just ignore me if you could".

Som  didn't   know  what  to  do,  he  asked again,  " By   the   way ,   have    you   eaten something? If not, you can join me to have dinner. It would be nice to have someone's company     since    I   had    to    eat   alone everyday".

The  girl  looked  at  him  again  and  asked, "why are you trying to help me ? We haven't even meet before nor do we know each other".

Som  smiled  faintly  before  he said, "even though  we  don't know each other and we are  strangers  to  each other, still  I should atleast  help  you   as   a  human  being" he continued  "even  though   you   don't  have trust  on  me,  I  can still  confirm you  that,

I am helping you genuinely out of concern".

The girl looked at him astonishingly as she said, "then don't mind if I join you, and I am really really thankful".

After that,   both  of  them  went  inside the shop.

The shop was not that big but, it looks nice and cozy. The shop was directly connected with the house.

The house had two floors with four rooms at  the top floor. Three of the  rooms  were medium size  bedroom and  the remaining room was made for study purposes.

The  study room  had many  different types of books. It was made for Som because he used   to   love  reading   different  types of books.  Even  Som's  mother  was  a  writer, she  used   to  use  that  room   for   writing purposes.

The ground floor was occupied by  a  living room  and   a   big   kitchen  next  to  it. The kitchen   was  made   big    because  Som's father used to love  cooking. Even Som wanted to be a  chef so  he used to learn cooking  with his father.

After they entered the room Som said "you can  use the  washroom  if  you want. I will bring  some  spare  clothes  for you".  Som went  upstairs  to   bring  her   some  spare clothes.

Few minutes later, he  brought the  clothes and gave  it to her as he said, "I don't know if these would fit you, but you don't have to worry about  the hygiene since  I had never used them".

The girl said hurriedly, "no no no , it's fine. I don't   worry   about   that".  Som  said, " it's okay, then I won't bother you. You can have your  time  in  the  washroom,  meanwhile I will go and prepare the dinner".

After that Som went to the kitchen to prepare food for dinner, meanwhile the girl went to the washroom to wash herself  using warm water.

Som was planning to cook fish for dinner. He   made  Coconut  fish curry and rice as main  course. He  also  use   pastry  as   a dessert.

Som   was   good   at  cooking   from   the beginning.   He    originally    intended    to become a chef but because the situation,  he couldn't become one.

Som still didn't gave up on his dream. He still   follow    his   passion.  He   practice different    different    types    of    cuisine everyday and tries get one step closer to his dream.

He also plans to open  his  own  culinary school  after  he  becomes  a great chef.

Though  Som  was  already  a   great  chef according to his age, but he still wanted to learn   more.  Therefore   every    food    he prepared tonight was as good as the taste of food in top class restaurants.

After an hour later, the girl came out of  the bathroom. She was having long hair, tied in a bun. Her  eyes were  sparkling  like stars. She   looked     thin   but    her   figure   was maintained. She really looked beautiful.

She   came   near   the   kitchen door, Som asked her to come in. As she was coming inside,  Som was stuned by her beauty. He couldn't stop staring at her.

She was looking as bright as a moon in a clear sky.  Her   cheeks  looked  soft  and fluffy. She  has  the  perfect   body   every men dreamed of.

Som regained his senses and  apologized, "I   am   really    sorry     for    making    you uncomfortable by staring at you, I couldn't help  it  you  looking  so  beautiful.  Please forgive me".

After listening to Som, she couldn't help but

start   laughing   as  she   said,  "it's  okay,  I didn't     mind     it,   and    thanks    for    the compliment ". Som smiled embarrassingly.

After  that   the  girl  said,  "By  the way,  my name is Hana, what's your? ". "Myself Som, sorry    for   not   introducing   earlier"  Som replied.

"It's alright " after  that Hana  asked, If Som need  any  help  for  cooking.  Som  replied,

" no I am  fine. Dinner is   almost  done, you can just sit there and relax for few minutes"

Hana hesitated  for  a  sec, but then she sit on the chair near the dining table.

Few minutes  passed. Som brought  all the dishes  he   prepared, seeing  all   this  food Hana's  eyes  became teary. Her  eyes were red   and   swollen. Tears   started   flowing through   her    eyes    to    her   cheeks. She couldn't help but, be thankful to Som.

Earlier,  she  took   the  offer   of  Som's  for having     dinner    together     because,  she haven't eat properly for the past few days.

But   now,  seeing   all  dishes  prepared  by Som  made  her  emotional  as  she said, "I am  really  grateful   to  you.  Thankyou  for helping     me  out"  she   continued "I  don't know how   I  will  repay your   kindness but still, you  can  ask  me for any help. I will do my  best  as much   as   I could  to help you out".

Som  smiled  lightly  as  he  replied, "sure, I will ask you  for  your help if  I need, but for now   we  should   start  eating  or  else the food will get cold".

After that, Hana wiped her  tear as she was about  to eat. As  she took her her first bite, her eyes became teary again. The food was

so  tasty and flavorful the couldn't  hold her tears anymore.

Seeing her like  that,  Som couldn't help but ask her,  if  there was  anything  wrong with the   food.  Hana   smiled    as  she   replied hurriedly, " no no no, the food is perfect. It's just made me remember of my home".

Som didn't  know  what  happened to her in the  past  or  how  did  she  ends  up  in this situation, so  he  didn't  say  anything. After that both of them finished their food.

Both of them really enjoyed their food, even

Som   was   happy   eating  food   with   her because,  it  was  first  time after the death of his  parents  he had meal  with someone else.

After  finishing  her   food Hana  requested, "could you   please  let  me stay the night, if possible?"     She   continued,  "it's    raining outside and  I   don't have a place to stay. If you  just  let me stay the night, I could even sleep on the floor".

Som replied, "I don't have any problem. You can  just  stay  if  you  want". He  continued seriously, "but, what  are  you  going   to  do tomorrow? Where are you going to stay? "

Listing    to  Som, she   become  silent for a moment. After   that   she   replied, "I   don't know, maybe   I  will   go  somewhere   else where   I  could find  a job or look for some work to  earn  some  money. I have to work hard or else I don't know how I am going to survive".

Hana  didn't   know  that  Som  had  already planned  something  for  her. He said, "how about, you work for me ? You  can  help me in  the shop". Hana  said, "but I  don't  know how  to  make  pastry, how  can  I  help you then ?" Som   replied, "you   don't    have   to worry   about  that. I   can teach you how to make   it".   He   continued,  "and   for   your salary, how  about   500 yen   per hour  and you  can  even stay  in  the house. Since we have two empty rooms you can stay at one of them".

He   continued "since   both   of  the  rooms have bed so, you don't have to sleep on the floor ". He  said  this because  earlier, Hana said that she  could even sleep on the floor if he let her stay the night.

Hana  was  so  much grateful  to  Som. She felt lke  Som  was some kind of prince who came    to  save   her.   Right   now   at   this moment Som was the world to her.

Som   said   again, "By   the   way,   I  have a condition".  He   continued,  "you   have    to promise   me  that, you won't cry again and you can feel  free to  ask me for anything if you want ".

Right  now  she was  crying happily  as she said, "I  am   really  grateful   to  you. I  don't know  if  I  could   be   able   to   repay  your kindness  but, I  promise   that  I   will  work hard   from  tomorrow. You  can  just  order me  anytime, I  will  do everything you say". She  continued, "so  please  just  let  me cry this   last   time".  After   that    she   started crying.  Few  minutes later  she calm down herself.

It   was   already   time   for  bed. Som  was about   to   wash   the   dishes.  So  he said, "alright   then, I  will  go  was the dishes. It's already  late night, you should go and sleep in your room".

Hana    said   hurriedly, "let   me   wash   the dishes. You have already done so much for me, let  me  just repay your  kindness". She continued, "I know  it's  not  much but, I will surely repay your kindness little by little ".

Som  said, " then  I  have  to  bother you for this. You can wash the dishes, by the time I will  go  and  take  a quick shower ". "Sure", Hana replied.

After   that   Hana took all the dishes to the basin to clean them meanwhile,  Som went to the washroom to take a quick shower.

After   few  minutes   Som  came out of the washroom.    Even        he     looked     quite handsome  still  he  was  single  and  never dated someone before.

After coming out of the washroom, he saw that    Hana    had  already  washed  all  the dishes.   So     Som    said,   " thankyou   for cleaning      the      dishes ".   Hana    replied hurriedly,   "no    no    no,      thankyou      for everything. You are my life saver ".

After    that   both  of them went upstairs to sleep   in   their   room. They were about go inside their room, then suddenly Hana said, "since I are going to stay here from now on and   since   I haven't brought anything with me,  so  can we go for shopping  tomorrow to buy all the necessary things that I need ?you can cut the cost from my salary".

Som replied, "sure, but   you   don't  have  to worry  about  the money. And for now have a   good   night ". Hana    replied, "thankyou, and   have a good night ". After that both of them went inside their room and rested for the night.
