"Aera, are you sure you'll be okay alone?"
A middle-aged lady stood in the living room arranging the books on the shelves. She looks at her daughter who was immersed in the drama telecasted on TV.
"Yes..." Aera answered in a low voice. She was sprawled on the couch with a bowl of popcorn on her lap. "I was able to survive for a week alone. I'll be fine."
Her mother sighed and stopped whatever she was doing. She turned and faced her daughter with a tilted head. "You will be alone...alone. Your nanny is leaving as well."
"You are saying as though I'll die if I am left alone even for a day," Aera answered. Her hand struggles to grab popcorn to fit her palm.
"I do.." Her mother didn't hesitate to answer. "It isn't only me but every one of us agrees. And I remember somebody lights up the entire house when she is going to the washroom."
