"What is going on?" Among the silent atmosphere, Ruth appeared. She looked around a little worried with the townspeople out in the courtyard. She wasn't alone but her son was with her tugging her skirt, a little frightened.
"Ma'am," Lucien politely called. Ruth was now beside her husband. "I think it would be inappropriate of your son to expose this atmosphere."
Ruth didn't need to question. She gestured her maid to take her son inside the house.
"Ruth, you need to get inside, its–"
"I believe that would not be a good idea to do that, Marquess," Lucien had interrupted when he was about to send his wife away.
"W-what?'
"Your wife deserves to know the truth, starting with who is the mother of that son." The moment Lucien uttered, both Marquess and the Marchioness widened their eyes with a different perspective.
"What rubbish are you talking about?" Edward questioned trying to lower his voice. "That you are referring to is our son."
