Aleksander had never been excited to be invited for dinner with the emperor after his stay for more than a week. He felt through his bones that there was something more than just a dinner.
As he expected, the emperor's younger brother was as well present with them for dinner.
"I humbly thank you for the gracious dinner, Your Majesty." Aleksander was sure the food placed on the table was just for exaggerating or it was simply to show how welcomed and happy the emperor was to have a guest.
"It's nothing but a simple meal," Efthalia answered between cutting down the ribs on his plate. "I hope it suits your liking."
Calix, on the other hand, simply stares down at the food on the table still holding the fork and the silver knife. 'Since when did brother become so exaggerated in food display.' And the only reason who knows was Benjamin.
He quietly stood by the corner. 'I didn't think he would be this serious when he said he wanted the dinner to be lavishly spread.'
