"Argh!" Klein yelled out in pure, seething anger. His fist clenched hard.
The undead reporting to him was on a knee looking to the ground in fear. Although the undead don't fear under normal circumstances, a strong undead aura can bring them to a knee.
"Who dares! Who would dare!" Klein, in all his life in undeath, had never been as angry as he was today.
The atmosphere in the throne room was tense. The poor undead who reported the news was stuck in fear of his master.
"Go now! Bring me Zachary!" The undead who was stuck in fear quickly bowed and became shadow once again. The shadowed being quickly left the chamber.
Klein sat down in his throne while he waited for Zachary to come to him.
'How did a skeletal captain break my control? Was it the death god? No, I should've noticed if it was him… I felt the captain, it had no intelligence before I gave it some.' Klein was deeply troubled by the captain being free.
'That shadow wraith said it bowed down to a skeletal mage… that god could've freed him instead I suppose.' The doors to the throne burst open and a skeleton came in.
The skeleton wore black, metal grieves and boots. Where grieves and a chest plate would meet was instead fur. His entire upper half was bare, just a skeleton. He had an iron chain as his weapon of choice.
Zachary got on one knee and looked towards his master.
"What is it you need, my lord?" Klein looked to Zachary and his anger was lessened.
'Luckily, it seems I caught this early. Despite that, I don't know the true strength of the skeletal mage. Zachary will ensure the job is done.'
"Head to the town of Reis and eliminate all the skeletons that are there. There's a trailer in our mists and he'll be there." At Kleins words the flames in Zachary's eyes flickered.
If a skeleton could show emotion, surprise would be written plain as day on Zachary's face.
This has never happened before, after all.
"Of course my lord! I will carry out this task immediately!" Zachary wasted no time and quickly bowed his head in respect before leaving. This was a matter of upmost importance.

An ominous chill began to flood the gloomy forest.
Dark energy was amalgamating in Jyron's hand.
After a bolt was formed, it shot off into a boar being held in place by a random skeleton.
The moment the bolt touched the flesh of the boar it began to darken and rot.
The boar began squealing in pain and sheer terror as the light in its eyes slowly drained out.
In but a few moments the boar was killed.
"The death bolt spell is one to be reckoned with." Jyron was pleasantly suprised by the lethality of his spell.
Although he doesn't know this, only a mage with a specific affinity can use death spells. Due to the influx of souls at Jyron's "birth" he is able to utilize them.
"Yes my lord." Teron replied, slightly startling Jyron who is not used to having others around him.
Jyron gave no reply and went back to leading the march.
'Atleast I have another to talk to this time.' Teron and Balion's presence made the slow march go by faster.
Balion supplied basic knowledge of the dead lands while Teron was simply a loyal servant to give short replies like "yes my lord" or "yes master." It wasn't much but it at the very least gave Jyron the "excitement" he needed on the long journey.
'According to Balion, most skeletal mages don't have access to the spells I do. Most skeletal mages specialize in the spells they used in life. A fire mage in life will be a fire mage in death.' Jyron was curious about his power. He was even more so curious about this "system" the death god granted him.
'This system is quite intriguing. There are two possibilities I see. Either the god is not aware of my betrayal or the system is here to help regardless of my loyalties.' Jyron pondered for a moment before making up a story in his mind.
'Gods are supposed to be omniscient right? If that's the case he made the systems primary order to help me grow… what an oversight! Be it arrogance or simple laziness the god must've not even put a fallback in place.' Jyron was by no means complaining. It's due to the gods oversight that he is able to think on his own and exist today.
'Either I best get back to testing my spells.' In but a moment Jyron was ready for more magic.
"Teron! Order those two to go fetch me a boar." Jyron still didn't have superiority over the other skeletons. He decided he would have to capture them soon.
Jyron stoped the march and awaited the new victim in glee.

"I see. It is as my lord says." Zachary's curiosity was nearly palpable. How could an undead revolt in the way this mysterious mage had?
His curiosity was of course simple curiosity. The skeleton had no thoughts of revolting as it was a obediently skeleton.
"Alright. Keep watching them. We'll strike when they reach the town." A handful of shadow wraiths bowed their heads and became shadow once again. Off to examine Jyron further.
'How fascinating.' A Powerful mage was watching the scene with true curiosity. He too, was curious about the mysterious skeleton.
Soon, the two forces would convene on the unlucky village in an epic confrontation.
