Deku pulled his right fist back, aiming to plunge his weapon into Katsuki's face... and missed.
His attack was so slow and overreaching in Katsuki's eyes, that it was all too easy to merely step out of the way.
The Rabbit tried again, only to wind up missing each time.
The bomb boy took a chance for a counter-attack, thrusting his foot into the villain's stomach, and successfully kicking him away.
Deku grunted in pain, clutching his mid-section in pain until he got his wind back and rushed in once more.
A bunch of other heroes in the audience decided to do the same, jumping down from the bleachers and heading for the ring, only to find themselves drowning in the rubbery trap as well.
"What the-?!" A hero wearing a dark blue cowl with wingtips gasped as he fought with the floppy ground. "This stuff's surrounding the whole ring!"
Other heroes managed to jump over their co-workers and reach the ring, one of them being a hero with a dark blue skull for a head. "Alright, bunny boy! Prepare to-!"
As he stepped in, he found himself pressed up against an invisible wall, which bounced him back, causing him to fall on his behind. "W-What the heck?! Something's blocking the way in! We can't get inside!"
------------------------------
Gentle should have been proud that his quirk was working so well at keeping all those do-gooders at bay.
But he was too confused and in shock at what he was witnessing. Was this what Deku was planning the entire time when he came to him about his quirk?
------------------------------
"This next part of my plan involves you, Mr Gentle. Want I'm hoping is that your quirk can be used on multiple objects and surfaces and that you can hold them together for an extended amount of time."
"The reason being is because when I make my entrance, heroes are going to come at me from all sides. But your quirk can help in keeping them at bay, for a short while at least. If you can tell me how many objects and surfaces you can affect with your quirk, that would be a great help!"
------------------------------
The flamboyant thief was snapped out of his thoughts when a colossal explosion rocked the whole stadium.
He looked back to the centre and saw a large plume of smoke enveloping the ring.
Out of the south side of the ring, Deku came flying out of the smoke, falling to the ground and rolling across the tiles.
"Deku!" La Brava wailed in fright for her friend, while Gentle could only turn away and cringe at the harsh impact his second ward had taken.
------------------------------
Inko had brought her hands up to her face when the young villain, who could have been her son, was sent skidding across the resin.
What surprised her more was how he found the will to stand back up again, and rush back toward Bakugo before the mist had even cleared.
The Izuku she knew used to be so small... timid... scared of almost everything...
Was that really her son? And if it was...what happened to him?
------------------------------
Giran gave a gap-toothed grin when he saw his favourite Quirkless customer get back up.
Many of the other villains were still mumbling in surprise at what they were seeing.
The villain broker decided that now would be a prime, opportune moment to make some cash.
He stood from his stool and turned to the crowd, catching their attention by raising his hands.
"I've got five thousand yen on the bunny-eared kid! Who wants a piece?"
A moment of silence came over the tavern...until every villain exploded with bet declarations, and grabbing what cash they had.
"Give me three thousand on the exploding kid!"
"Screw you! I'll take four thousand on the Rabbit!"
------------------------------
Deku rushed for Katsuki again, getting in close and throwing kicks and punches at his former tormentor.
But Bakugo was more than able to step past each one of the green-clad villain's attacks as if he was moving in slow motion.
After the Rabbit threw an over forced fist, Bakugo plunged his open palm into his enemy's stomach, blowing him off his feet and sending him skyward until he landed on his back. Hard.
The bomb boy looked down at his attacker in confusion. What was going on? Wasn't the Rabbit supposed to be better than this?
He was answered with the Rabbit jumping back onto his feet and charging for him once more.
But just like before, his attacks came slow and overreaching.
The bomb boy couldn't understand it. Was this really the same villain that beat him, hard-head and half 'n' half before?
...Maybe it was luck.
Yeah...That must be it. This scrawny little villain nobody must have gotten lucky last time.
No way he would've lost if it wasn't for the other two extras that kept getting in his way.
If it had been a one on one fight, Bakugo was certain that he would have come out on top without a doubt.
And here he was, taking on the same villain who embarrassed him before...and was winning.
The bomb boy's cocky sneer returned with a vengeance... This was gonna be good.
Fire crackled in the boy's hands as he readied himself for another attack. "What's the matter, bunny boy...can't take the heat?!"
Deku pushed himself up once more but immediately had to jump out of the way from the bomb boy rocketing his way and blasting the ara he was just at.
"That's right! Run Rabbit! RUN!" Katsuki cackled as he kept up his unrelenting bombardment, no matter how much the villain jumped out of the way.
The bomb boy managed to land a devastating hit on the green hooded boy.
Deku went spinning in the air until he landed face-first onto the hard, unforgiving ground.
The audience had slowly started to cheer for the bomb boy, his past lack of restraint seeming to be completely forgotten, as he struck the long-eared felon hard and mercilessly for all to see.
Even some of the heroes who were bad-mouthing him from before were rooting for him now.
"Yeah, kid! Take that long-eared loser down!"
"He put my best friend in the hospital! Let's see how he likes it!"
"Blow 'em to kingdom come, Bakugo!"
Over and over again, every time the Green Rabbit charged at Katsuki Bakugo with the intent to harm.
But every time, the bomb boy would blast him off his feet and send him spiralling across the ring.
But no matter how many times he hit him, the long-eared villain would get back up and try again.
------------------------------
"That's it, kiddo! turn that punk into Rabbit stew!" Mitsuki shouted to her boy when Inko got up from her seat and tried to push past the bomb boy's mother, catching her off guard "I-Inko! What are you doing?!"
"I'm going down there!" The frantic mother wailed. "That's my Izuku down there!"
"That is not Izuku, Inko! That's a dangerous criminal!" The glycerin woman tried to reason in the panic.
"You don't understand, that's-!" Inko's counter-argument was cut off with Mitsuki grabbing her by the shoulders and shaking her.
"No, YOU don't understand! Do you honestly think your son could be capable of doing any of the horrible things that monster has done?!" The bomb boy's mother proclaimed hotly.
"Do you really think your son would be able to do anything so impossible?!"
The childless mother's eyes grew wide from her friend's words.
As she struggled to find a retort, the biggest explosion yet went off, drawing the whole stadium's attention to the ring...
------------------------------
The Green Rabbit lay down on the ground, battered and bruised, his signature green hoodie torn and scorched from the explosion user's constant combustions, facing away from the explosion user.
Bakugo didn't seem to have broken a sweat, as he grinned maliciously at the villain before him.
The audience looked down at the outcome of the battle...then erupted into a triumphant roar of applause.
They were shouting their praises for the bomb boy, going so far as to chant his name.
"BA-KU-GO! BA-KU-GO! BA-KU-GO!"
