At the beginning of the Dark Ages, where magic was still unknown, the people of a city lived together with each other. Although there were many good people, there were also bad people. Many crimes took place on the street, people stole wallets, others trafficked people of their own race as slaves and the worst that could happen was the assault of innocent women.
Inside that city there was a very small family, a father and a mother lived together with their little daughter.
Mother - Laila! Come have dinner!
Laila - I'm coming mom!
Laila, a small 7-year-old child, lived with her parents. She was a happy, innocent child.
Father - Hey Laila dad will have to go out at night sleep well ok?
Laila - Ok dad!
And there her father left home and Laila was left alone with her mother.
Half an hour later...
Laila - Mom can we go out together at night to see the stars?
Mother - Are you crazy Laila, can't you see what time it is?
Laila - Please mom just today.
Laila said pouting.
Mother - Hmmmm ok let's go my love but just this once ok?
Laila - YAYYYYYYYY THANK U MOM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laila was screaming with joy. To her, her mother was an angel and she loved her with all her heart. At least that's what she thought until what happened. Laila and her mother were walking around town. Laila ended up catching her father cheating on her mother with another woman. She was very sad, angry, anxious because she knew her father would never come back. Because of that, while the years went by without his father, her mother went crazy. Laila walked through the city streets alone, watching the rot that people passed on to each other. With all this, Laila became cruel to the people around her, she created a tremendous hatred for the world and wanted to end it so that she could rebuild it and govern it by herself.
One day Laila came home and found her mother sitting in the dining room chair crying and complaining about her life. After so much complaining, Laila heard what she never expected to hear from her dear mother.
Mother - Laila, is that you?
Laila - Yes mom I just got home.
Mother - How boring, why do you exist? Actually because I gave birth to you if my husband never comes back?!
Laila - HUH!
Laila was shocked by what her mother said, and to stop her suffering she decided to take the kitchen knife and coldly cut off her mother's head
Mother - GET OUT! DON'T COME CLOSE TO ME MONSTE...
Laila - HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHH!
Laila was bathed in blood and began to laugh. After that Laila left her house at night and went in and started murdering to support herself. She became an assassin for hire and turned out to be the most feared of them all. After so many murders in that city, the name Nightmare came up!
Thief number one - Run! Run!
Thief number two - RUN! WE HAVE CITY GUARDS BEHIND US!!!!!
City guards - HEY! GET BACK HERE YOU THIEVES!
Thief number one - I think we managed to get away with it this time.
Thief number two - Yes, this one was close.
??? - Look look. What are these thieves hiding here?
Thief number one - WOW! WHO ARE YOU?
Thief number two - GET OUT OF HERE OR WE WILL KILL YOU!
??? - Kill???? HEHEHHAHAHHAHAAHHAHIHIHIHIHHIAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thief number one - Wait! This is not! Nightmare?!
Thief number two - RUN WE WILL DIE!
??? - HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!
The two thieves were totally annihilated by Laila or more accurately Nightmare.
Times passed and Laila kept going to the public library to acquire knowledge from ancient documents. She also continued to murder people for money and pleasure. She always wore a long black dress and high heels to give an air of a more grown-up, dominating woman.
And one day Laila found a document with the anonymous author. It said there was a way to become the invincible, the weapon that would one day destroy the world.
Laila - This looks interesting to me, hihihihi!!!!
Laila looked for an abandoned place where she could follow in the footsteps of the document. After so long of searching, Laila found a Church where she could do what she wanted without any problems. In the document it said for her to draw a kind of circle on the floor that was drawn in the document and kill herself inside it.
Laila - KILL MYSELF?! And why inside the circle? I've never seen this in my life.
Laila thought - "After what I've been through I won't give up here. I WILL END THIS ROTTEN WORLD!"
Laila drew the circle on the floor, walked into it, picked up the same knife that killed her mother and said:
Laila - Looks like this is where we say goodbye. Isn't it mother?
Laila slashed her own throat, falling to the ground and filling the circle with blood. Moments later Laila woke up and felt different.
Laila - What? I'm alive? Wait, why is this place different from before?
The Church looked older, and around it was a long forest that wasn't there before.
Laila - What happened? Wait why am I feeling this way?
She started to run out of the church towards the forest and realized she was extremely fast.
Laila - This is freedom? It's fun!
As time passed, Laila improved and discovered new skills that she had never seen before. She discovered with her powers of temporal destruction that she had been in a coma for years. She also discovered that the ancient city she lived in began to build a Kingdom where people could use powers similar to hers but weaker. From what people said it was called magic. A skill that every human being can be born with but with different aptitudes for all elements.
Laila - Water, Earth, Fire, Air. These are the elements I found. But why am I different? I think my element is a type of darkness. And if that's the case then there must be someone out there with light magic.
Laila trained to perfect her assassination techniques, after a few years she developed a system to train and get stronger, but she couldn't use it because she discovered that she had become a spirit (a race considered divine and superior to all human beings) and she needed to have a loyal contract with a person to get into that system that she had devised. She couldn't do anything, it was the rules her own magic had developed.
So Laila kept the training system in the same church she woke up in and created a key to get that system started, she made it just in case it ever comes in handy.
Leaving that aside, Laila decided to restart her mission to destroy the world. After killing so many people, everyone was talking about the return of the world's greatest assassin, The Nightmare! And so the magical realm started a war against Laila, and as the years passed that war continued and caused many deaths. Until one day someone showed up.
??? - Wow, so you're the Nightmare that everyone talks about. You are very beautiful my maiden, but I think you will look ugly after so many punches that I will give you in that beautiful face.
Laila/Nightmare - Who are you that tries to challenge me? Aren't you afraid to die?
Hercules - My name is Hercules! I am an adventurer sent by the Magic Kingdom to assassinate you and save the people from this war. Hope you can entertain me girl!
Laila/Nightmare - HAHAHAHAHAAH THEN LET'S SEE IT!
TIIIIIIMMMMMMMM!!!!!!
A huge fight broke out between Laila and Hercules. After a long time of fighting, Laila found herself pressed for the first time in her life in a fight.
Laila - Shadow Ray Level 8!!!!!!!!!
Hercules - Ray of Light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The two powers seemed to be tied but in the end Laila ended up losing.
Hercules - Now I will seal you forever and ever. Ice,falcon,snow... WHAT?! WHERE DID SHE GO?
Laila before being blasted by Hercules' sealing power decided with her last remaining strength to transform into her spirit form. She traveled to the Church and created a magic circle in order to make a contract with a person worthy of her power. Years passed, many people tried to obtain this power but they all died because they could not control it or were not worthy. Until one day in the year 2034 Laila found the love of her life.
