"shut up," my dad yelled at my mom, he's probably going to meet his girlfriend, that hat he always does by my mom won't get it,

"no Sammy am tired and sick of you," my mom yelled back at my dad, blocking his path as if that will stop him,

"Give me a reason to shut up, when all you do is come home drunk, litter everywhere with your puke not minding who's going clean it at the end of the day, different women call you on a daily, you eat three square meals on a daily and you don't even care about who brings it on the table, no..., you don't think about your children, you don't assist me with the bills, you don't have a job, you got nothing, nothin..." my dad slapped her before she could complete her word, as she stood there in complete perplexity not knowing if she should laugh or cry.

After both of them stood there for what seemed like forever, my dad pushed her out of the way like he always does, slamming the door hard on his way out.

I heave a sigh, looking back at my mother who looked so broken but I can't do anything about it, I might end up getting yelled at like Ming yu, I walked towards ming yu room, knocking the door but since I didn't get a reply, I decided to try a different method, "knock knock," "who's there,"

"come in," he said after a long minute of silence, I was happy he did though, I hate it when he is feeling down,

"I was only trying to help mummy, I just don't get why she should be angry with me," he explained shrugging his shoulders, as I sighed trying to figure out the best way to answer him,

" I know and it's not a bad thing, you don't need to feel bad or regret your actions, she's just sad about the problem dad keeps putting her into, am sure when she's alright, she will treat you better, you'll probably forget am there," I said finally able to put a smile on his face.

"You know that impossible," he said rolling his eyes which made me laugh,

"Yeah like when you and Mom are playing cards and will only remember I was talking to both of you when you're done,"

"that is because whenever you distract someone, the person ends up failing," he retorted

"hey, that's your bad luck doing not me," I told him rolling my eyes, I was so glad that he was finally laughing,

"Thanks," he told me confusing me a little,

"for what," I had to ask,

"for always having a way of making me feel better," he confessed making me happy to know he is pleased about it,

"come on, that's what big sis does," I said placing a kiss on his forehead, as he struggles to get off my grip,

When I was done taking my shower, I changed into my blue pajamas before climbing to my bed, after rolling on my bed for a long time trying to get some thought out of my head which I couldn't,

I placed my earpiece on my ear as I listen to some RnB music, which helped cause I was finally able to go to sleep,

My alarm woked me up, it was six in the morning which means it was time to prepare for school, I lazily got up from my bed to the bathroom to go do my morning routine, normally I would have been all agile but since we were on vacation and I will be starting a new grade, it makes me quite reluctant and nervous at the same time, I straighten my hair and dye it a little dark admiring how it looks in the mirror, before going to put on my school uniform, my uniform was a white and black strip shirt and skirt, followed with a black pair of cover shoe and a long white socks, I didnt like the school sweater at all as it was too thick and itchy but since it was compulsory I had to put it on too, am a seventeen years old girl, who is now a grade 11 student in academic senior senior school and couldn't wait to start college, we have live in Wangfujing street in Beijing for as long as I can remember, it has been one of the only places I have memories of, my grandma and uncle Ben usually comes for visiting, except hui ying, I don't have any other friend who comes to visit,

I went to the living room, sitting opposite my brother who was already seated before I came, "good morning Mom, how was your night Ming yu," I said to both of them, as my mom place some oatmeal with muffins for us to eat, when we were done eating, we took our school bags, as we hurried to our mom car, my brother quickly enter the front seat, the person in the front seat always get to decide the music to be played, I know it gonna be raps through out, when my mom was done locking our apartment, she came to the car, driving us to school, I honestly don't know why mom doesn't have a problem with Ming yu rap, as I found her nodding her head to the music, it was a fifteen minutes drive to our school, we came down as I saw so many other kids outside getting into the school Hall, mom called my attention back to her before handing me a couple of bucks for school lunch because I and my brother were the types that doesn't like carrying lunch to school, she blew us kisses, telling us how much she loves us before driving away,
