Back at the non-bickering side of the hallways, Goldie stands quietly and completely shocked and silent as she stares at Ryan walking off ahead of her.
'He- he left?...', she questions, stunned.
She was only trying to say hi, but he just abruptly turned away and left. Ryan had ignored her!
'How embarrassing!...'
'He didn't even give me a chance to speak…', Goldie reasons as her chest tightens.
Hearing the sounds surrounding her, her head lowers itself in sadness. She swallows, biting back the tears threatening to break loose, and she feels the salty taste in the tightness of her throat.
Of course, Goldie did not expect that Ryan Muller would suddenly like her, but she just wanted to say 'thank you' since he had been keeping her seat.
But now, the outcome was so terrible. She had been publicly humiliated out in the halls.
'I knew it. He thinks I'm a weirdo…', she says to herself as her sight blurs over.
