The next day, Friday, Jono and Alvi arrived at school early in the morning to complete their daily tasks as sweepers in place of the old man they had met by chance. They would sweep all the places they had to clean according to their contract with the old sweeper, who would pay them.
"Jon, today you will clean up from the back of the school area, and I will clean up from the front," Alvi said as he immediately walked towards the front of the school area without waiting for Jono's approval.
Jono gaped at this. He shook his head and walked casually towards the back of the school area.
"Okay, fine," he said in his mind.
They swept the pedestrian walkway that connected the various buildings of the school. They moved quickly and in a bit of a hurry, but it still took them nearly an hour. The two of them met in front of the canteen, which was located relatively in the middle of the school area.
"Finally done," Alvi said, panting from exhaustion.
"Yeah," Jono replied quickly.
