Chapter 18 - Beast Hunter

Jono then carried out his experiment. He divided the bamens he purchased into groups of only 3-5 bamens. Then, he used his super ability to create small puppets. One by one, the collection of bamens gradually transformed into small puppets of various beasts. Not to mention, he pours magic energy into the puppet bodies in order for them to go through the first evolution and have an appearance that is at least slightly similar to the original beast, so that he can sell it for a higher price. After the seventeenth try, he couldn't make puppets anymore.

These small puppets only measure about ten centimeters high, with the smallest being about five centimeters. It irritated him when he saw these seventeen small puppets.

"With my current level, I can only make twenty puppets, awaken super abilities and control two puppets at the same time," he said with a long sigh.

During the making of a dozen puppets, he ran out of magic energy several times and took a break. After this experiment, he finally figured out the limits of his super abilities at his current level.

With a heavy heart, he accepts the fact that the limitations of his super ability hamper his plans to make a lot of money.

"F*ck*ng limit!" he screamed in his mind.

Jono continued with his training sessions in the form of physical training or workouts to train his physique, sword training to train his swordsmanship, puppet control training to train his multiple puppets' control and puppet super abilities, and practice breathing techniques until midnight. Even though his sword style is still stiff, he can currently swing his Gravat sword quite strongly. He still uses both hands. When he tries to use one hand, he fails to even make a simple move.

At eleven o'clock in the morning, after a routine training session, bathing, and breakfast, Jono went to the Commerce and Business District. He arrived with a large suitcase containing his seventeen puppets, as well as the carcasses of the beasts he had killed the day before, which his puppets could not absorb.

Jono wanted to sell his small puppet as an item in the form of a basir and sell the carcasses for extra money. He went to the commerce management department at the Bolo Beasts Market shop. He noticed several lines of people there. When it was his turn, he was called into the room.

The room is about twenty-five square meters in size. In the room, there are lots of boxes, closed cabinets, and two doors that lead to other rooms. In the room, there was also a table and two chairs opposite. A mature blonde woman sat in one of the chairs, her hair tied in a ponytail. She had a mature face with glasses and a proportionally curved body to her height.

The blonde woman is dressed in a white shirt, wrapped in a black cardigan. She also wears long black pants that are a little loose and flared at the ends, and ten-centimeter-high heels in black, which combined with her clothes, make the woman look more charming and mature.

"What are you selling, kid?" asked the blonde woman as she examined Jono's appearance from head to toe. The blonde woman's expression indicates that she is uninterested in customers, like Jono.

"Items, basir ma'am," Jono replied with a little smile.

"Basir?" This blonde woman double-checked to make sure she hadn't misheard. People whose appearance she underestimated would usually only sell a few bamens.

"Show me then," the blonde woman scoffed.

Jono then opened his bag and took out the basir one by one and placed them neatly on the large table. It surprised the blonde woman when she saw him take out the basirs one by one without pausing. When his last basir placed it on the table, he said, "This is the basir I want to sell to."

The blonde woman examined each basir on the table, her eyes slightly enlarged and brightly shining. The blonde woman appeared to be a little surprised. The basir he sells does not resemble the basir in general. His basir appears to be more elegant and realistic.

"Second stage of basic grade basirs with good appearance and high artistic value," the blonde woman stated.

"Did you make it yourself?" she inquired.

"No, my friend's uncle made this," said Jono, lying with a flat face.

Even the blonde woman had no idea that he was lying. The blonde woman would not believe him if he said it was all his own work. He does not want to make his super abilities public before registering them at the SAD Center.

According to the blonde woman, a basir with a good level of quality like this must have been created by an experienced artist who is certainly not a teenager of his age.

"How much is everything worth, ma'am?" Jono asked, refusing to engage in small talk any longer.

"The shape and art value of this basirs are very good, but unfortunately it only has the second stage of basic grade," said the blonde woman without going into more detail.

"For one basir, I'll buy 250 Rc," said the woman.

"It's too cheap."

"My friend's uncle said he'd only sell it for 399 Rc," Jono said in a helpless tone.

The woman was taken aback. Of the second-stage bamens they sell, the most expensive is only 400 Rc. Jono was aware of this as well, but he wanted to try to raise the price slightly in order to increase his profit.

"No, the shape and art value of these basirs are excellent, but the size is small and only at the second stage of basic grade."

"After all, you haven't registered your super ability type at the SAD Center, so your data is incomplete."

"If your friend's uncle wants to sell at a higher price, at least he must come here himself with complete personal data."

"With the source of the item you're selling not being entirely clear, 250 Rc is a high price," said the blonde woman confidently.

It surprised him when he heard this. This blonde woman seemed to be able to see right through his lies. He even assumed that this blonde woman had guessed that he was the one who made these basirs.

Although Jono's expression changed slightly after hearing the woman's words, he remained silent and tried to remain calm. Jono paused for a moment, then resumed haggling.

"Wouldn't a basir with a small size but high artistic value be more expensive?"

"With this basir's quality, the market can sell it for up to 400 Rc instead," Jono explained.

He had read a lot of information about basir, and his grandfather had taught him about basic things since he was a child, so he could remain calm even though he was bargaining with someone much older than him.

Jono's calmness and knowledge surprise the blonde woman.

"No, you're mistaken; only for magic basir that the smaller the size, the higher the price."

"If you have fully registered in the SAD Center and explained the origin of this item, we may be able to offer a higher price."

"The highest price this shop can offer is 250 Rc, and we can only buy about ten basirs."

"The most expensive item we can buy from unknown sources or from someone whose personal data is incomplete may not cost more than 3000 Rc per day," the blonde woman explained.

"I can't sell these basirs for less than 390 Rc," Jono joked.

He is well aware that Basir's price for quality in the second stage is only around 200 to 400 Rc.

"Sigh, then 300 Rc each."

"It's fine if you don't want to sell it," the blonde woman grumbled.

"I sold you eight basirs for 350 Rc."

"If it's less than that, I'll only sell one of them," Jono stated

"Ok, deal! 350 Rc," said the blonde woman in her business tone and helpless face with her little hidden smile.

Because of the daily transaction limit regulation for unknown sources, he sold only eight of the seventeen basirs. Jono intended to sell the remaining nine basirs to other shops.

"At least there aren't any rules that limit sales in various stores," Jono thought to himself.

It then completed the transaction between Jono and that blonde woman. He only produces around 2800 Rc from eight basirs in the Bolo Beast Market with this. Even though he is making enough money for his daily needs, he is unhappy because he cannot make any more money by making small puppets before he advances to the second stage of the first phase.

"What should I do now to get more money?" He pondered this problem.

"I hope my finances will last until I reach the minimum age to work later, such as a beast hunter." Beast hunter is currently one of the most sought-after jobs. Apart from being extremely profitable in terms of finance, this job is also extremely profitable in terms of increasing one's power level. However, this job has one of the highest death rates.

"At the very least, I don't need to spend any more money on my super ability in the meantime, because my super ability and power level are still stuck in the first stage."

"When I advance to the next stage, I can make money again by selling my small puppets to improve my super ability and the power level of my puppets."

He said calculatingly, with a helpless and sour face, "At least I need a lot of money to increase my strength, my puppet, and to awaken my puppet's super ability while advance to the next stage."
