Chapter 391 - The group's hard work.

It happened so far that for the moment, no one was able to comprehend what just happened to Nate. He suddenly collapsed like an empty vessel and was not showing signs of getting up.

It was after the system message did they all realized what just happened.

[The system will be going offline generally]

This came as a shock and now they were worried about what happened to Nate. Only one thing can make the system shut down like this. It's either Nate was the one behind it, or he is dead. His unmoving body was not helping it either.

"It seems like I saw this coming... The system has been growing stronger along with Nate and it has reached a level where I no longer access it," Leo said as he pulled out a tablet and started typing in a few things.

"So many of you have gotten attached to the system function and if we were to fight without them, you all stood a chance of losing which is why I have prepared something for you guys," he continued not long after he was done with his typing.

[All systems are now independent. The system is now online]

Seeing this message again, all eyes were on Nate, but the latter body was still laying motionless on the floor.

"What about him?" Peter asked.

"He will be okay... It's just an evolution, what we all need is for you guys to work hard and try to make things easier for him," Leo said as he went and picked up Nate. He was lying on the table face up.

"Now let's all get out of here," Leo said as he lead them all out.

Fortunately for them, that Nate's system was offline doesn't mean they have lost all the privileges he has given to them. Their inventory, Teleporter, mater craft and so on were still working.

With this, the horde has never gotten so much busy in training. Peter have joined Lyon in his demon-level slaughter while the others continued to use the Crystals to make more weapons for themselves.

Although the system was back, the truth is that what Leo gave them was not a system, instead it was more like a guardian that does not assign a quest or reward to them.

Weapons are being mass-produced and was also being distributed to those that will be assisting in the fight. By the time the ground was done in the islands, they have levelled its ground due to the continuous fight going on with the beast.

They all have finally gone back to the ship, where they soon set off to Sin ship. The latter also had a teleporter on the ship therefore it was a journey of seconds.

When they arrived, they continued by explaining to him what had happened to Nate and why the system ways have changed.

"Is he trying to run away from the deal?!" Sin asked angrily.

Immediately, Peter stepped forward with his foot pounding on the floor.

"How dare you say such a thing,?" he said.

Sin couldn't help but notice how scarier Peter was. Regardless, he still stood his ground.

Fortunately for him, Leo has intervals just in time to prevent the inevitable attacks from Peter.

"We should not wander off the coast... Our goal is to fight the matrix and we are all in this together," Leo said looking at Sin.

"You might act all strong like it doesn't bother you, but trust me if we fail to stop them, then just know that for the rest of your life, you will be doing things that you are unwilling to do. It will be worse than slavery," Leo said.

"Like a sleeping body is going to help in any way," Sin muttered.

It was a murmuring, but he appears to have forgotten that everyone in the hall was in no way normal any more.

Peter was about to make his move when he was hit by something. It sends him flying backwards and sticks him to the floor.

"Shit! You still have those things!" he yelled in annoyance.

"No more provocation..." Leo said.

He was already tired of how hard it was to control the two Sin and Peter.

The group travelled for nearly about seven days, even though the boat was meant to be fast. It was not an easy peaceful journey, at least Peter and Sin didn't let that be.

On multiple occasions were they separated from a near-fight altercation, yet again and again where they were found in such condition.

After their seventh day, they finally could see something up front, but something was not adding up.

Something strange was happening and Leo was the first to notice it.

'No...this can't be!'

Meanwhile, on the island, the matrix was said to reside, a large field has been created and on the field, a large pattern has been drawn with red paint.

This was the portal to the other side of the world where Ozzie was.

The most excited person at the moment was none other than Green. So far, things concerning the portal have been the most interesting subject for him.

Right now, was their fourth attempt to open a big enough portal that can take someone like Ozzie and he had confidence that this time, the portal will open.

At the end of the circles, he placed three stones. One was the black meteorite, another was the blue, and the last was the red meteorite. These were the three stones he needed to open a portal big enough to contain Ozzie.

Soon, the zombies were called out, the first zombie that came out was not able to do much, the blue meteorite glowed, but the energy was not enough to power up the other crystal.

However soon, more zombie was called and the energy slowly started to grow in size. It moved through the lines and connected first to the red stone and activated it.

The stone glowed, as its energy was passed down to the back stone.

The moment the black meteorite grew, its energy was shot upwards illuminating the entire island in purple light.

Seeing this, the matrix was so joyous and glade that the portal have finally opened. Not only that, it was now enough for Ozzie to go through.

Unbeknownst to them, what they were opening was just more than a portal.

The matrix was so enticed in opening the portal that they failed to notice the ship that was fast approaching their island.

The bright light of the portal was so great that the other even at their distance could tell what was happening.

"What are they doing?" Sin asked as he stood with his binoculars.

The others have also arrived outside the ship to also see what is going on.

"That looks familiar," Lyon said.

"That's because it's a portal... The matrix a trying to open a portal," Mark said.

Just then he could see Leo's body shaking for a moment.

"That is no portal... They are opening a rift!" Leo shouted in panic.
