The matrix was not frightened because it was their first time seeing a talking zombie. In fact, they are currently looking for one.
The thing is that Nate and his horde were the only talking zombies the matrix have encountered. Because of this, they all believed that talking zombies only excited Nate's horde.
With this thought in mind, they have out rightly thought that the zombie before them was someone close to Nate and because of this they were frightened to the core.
"Hey....come on... Even inside this glass container, you guys are afraid of me, I won't bite.." the zombie while a smile appeared on his face when he said 'I won't bite'.
It was clear he was lying.
Mia was the first person to gather himself as he looked at the man that lead them here.
"Who is this and where did you find him?" he asked.
Despite already having suspected that Nate was behind this, Mia still couldn't be sure for more reasons than one.
"This is one valuable asset of my former master," the man replied.
"And who is this your master?" Mia continued to ask. This was an important question he have forgotten to ask.
"His name is Ozzie," the man said.
After hearing this, Mia and the others were able to calm down now. It turned out that this zombie was not one of Nate's followers, but this now made the matrix realize that talking zombies was not something Nate alone can do.
After calming down for a little while Mia and the rest were ready to ask some questions.
"What exactly is it that makes this zombie a valuable asset for your master," Kai asked.
"It is called the colonizer. Its fighting skill isn't that great, it isn't that bad either but that is not what made him a valuable asset," The man explained. He was under the matrix and any question that was being asked at the moment, as long as he knew the answer or have an idea of what it is, he will answer truthfully even if he didn't want to.
So far, the matrix hasn't seen what is so great about the zombie, but the man seems to have more to explain.
"Just like its name... these zombies can colonies another zombie as long as they have a very low amount of intelligence,"
"Not only that, but this power also works on beasts of lower levels. It also stood chances to work on the higher level beast," the man explained.
Hearing all this, Mia and the rest could not get it. Yeah, it might sound cool for one to be able to control zombies, but it wasn't their first time seeing this.
'If I can remember correctly... Nate also has the same ability,' Mai thought. The others also know this and was not impressed by the man zombies ability.
'If with such power he was still considered a valuable asset then there have to be a reason for this and the only person that might know this was the boss the man was talking about,'
'This your boss... Who is he and what can he do?' Nate asked.
Kai and the rest were surprised that Mia was asking such a question now. They will indeed have to know more about this Ozzie guy but now was not the time as they have to find out what the colonizer zombie use was for.
"I don't know since we are not that close to him, but a few rumours have been going about on how he is a zombie..." the man explained.
"Not just any zombie, but one that can wake up the dead,"
Once the man said this, the feeling from before, fear started to crip the others.
'Nate can do that as well if I remember... Is he so behind this... Did he just change his name to fit in,' Mia's heart tumbled at this thought.
Only one person have they ever seen being able to wake up the dead to become his servant and that was none other than Nate. Therefore hearing this could only lead to one person.
Regardless, Mia decided to shake this thought off. If Nate was the owner of this ship and somehow behind all this, then it was a pleasant feeling for them.
At least for once, they have defeated him. That was what Mia thought to calm himself down.
Eventually, it has come to the question Mia wanted to ask.
"You said this zombie is a valuable asset for your boss, then they have to be something he wants to use it for. Do you have an idea of what his intention might be?" Mia asked.
"Not much... All I know is the rumours that have been going on... I once overheard those that we were quite close to my boss speaking on how my boss was planning to turn humans into a zombie,"
Hearing this the entire room was silent for some time.
"Is Nate crazy....! Why would he want to do that..?!!!" Kai was the one that broke the silence. He also have put the thing together and was able to figure out that Nate might be the boss of the ship they were on board.
"I don't think this is Nate... Although sometimes he might do some stupid things he can't do something like this and don't forget he fought for those human bases back then... There is no way he could do such a thing," Mia said with a frown. With all he was hearing, he was struggling to come to a single conclusion on what these whole things might be.
"But what if he still thinks this is a game?" Kai asked.
"I don't think so... The skull head said that Nate have meet up with a man that supposedly should have informed him of what is happening," Mai said.
Right in front of them, the feelings, the joy they just had after discovering that Nate was the owner of the ship that they just conquered was crumbling before them... It turned out that it was all false.
"What should we do now... I know that our assignment was to get rid of Nate but will we let this happen?" green asked. Since they now know about what Ozzie was trying, the matrix of course was not going to allow this to happen.
The reason they are still looking for Nate now was that the skull head has told them that with Nate still alive, their existence was at stake. Because of this, the matrix won't allow the world they are trying to build for themselves to be destroyed by someone else.
"We still haven't learned how this zombie is important," Mia said looking at the man.
"It is obvious... With my boss's plan in motion, with this zombie, he will be able to keep the zombies in check," the man explained.
"Not only that... They seem to be more the zombie can do which I do not know at the moment," he added.
Hearing this, Mia already has a plan in mind. "Well... It seems like the mass turning won't be happening without this him, therefore we will be keeping him," Mia said.
"And the plan is, as usual, we use him to our advantage," Mia said.
With that, they were another matter Mia was to speak up about.
"Green...I think it's time we start looking for an alternative," Mia said.
Green already knows what Mia was talking about. "I am already working on it and the process is nearly completed," Green replied.
With that, the matrix left the room and was to revisit another time.
Meanwhile, a couple of days have passed and Green as he was told is already working on an alternative. After a long time of working day and night, a result has finally come out and it was one Mia would like.
"Finally... It has been accomplished," Green thought as he held a mask white mask in his hand.
