Chereads / My Zombie Game / Chapter 339 - Chain daggers.

Chapter 339 - Chain daggers.

When creating a weapon with a beast crystal, one has to consider the beast's power and what weapon might help in bringing out the potential power of the material.

For instance, a with great defence and strength will be suitable for making a shield, whereas a with great speed will also be good for making a boot.

Not like they can't be used for another material, but a speed beast will give off more of its power if it was used for a boot than a sword or shield.

Right now after gaining the beast crystal, Nate was contemplating what type of weapon he wanted to make out of the crystal.

Of course, he could just decide to use it in upgrading his king-level axe, but decline the idea. It will be best if he has a weapon at another level that is not the ice axe.

That when Jim has suggested presenting a blueprint before him.

Nate did not know how to study the blueprint, rather, he looked at the final result and noticed that the weapon seems familiar.

It was a total of four daggers attached to different chains and then the chain's other end was also attached to was seemed to be a belt.

Seeing this made Nate remember his wire dagger, the first weapon he made for himself after entering the game. The only difference here was the wire now was chains.

'What makes think this weapon will do?' Nate asked Jim.

[A you kidding me... Didn't you see the beast's power? It was able to drain your stats into its own. With these blades, you stand a chance of doing the same thing to your enemies] Jim explained.

'But that was a thread, not daggers?' Nate argued.

[I am the forger, you better trust my instincts and besides, what other choice of weapon do you have?] Jim asked.

In the end, Nate found out that he has no other weapon in mind to make.

[Since you don't have other options, it will be best if you start the crafting now] Jim said.

With that, Nate went ahead to extract the beast bone. He has formed the habit of making any of his weapons with the beast bone.

After that, he also adds a few meteorite stones and then the beast crystal with the blueprint.

In an instant, the crafting process began and in no time, Nate's dagger was done.

Taking it out, Nate was amazed by the size. The dagger was just too big to be called a dagger, perhaps a short sword will do.

Its body was curved slightly just like Nate saw in the blueprint diagram and then a few ancient patterns were drawn on it.

[Type = Chain daggers]

[Name = ???]

[Creator = Master craft]

[Special power]

[Special effects]

[None]

[Special power]

[Draining power = Each dagger has its draining effects depending on which one the wielder wants to use at the moment and each power drained could be added to the wielder's choice of stats.]

[The drain effects are as follows.

Target speed= Blue

Target strength = purple

Target Blood = Red

Target durability= Green]

[Mind control = this allows the wielder to control the daggers with its mind alone and it can also be retractable]

After reading through the weapon power, Nate was not sure if he should be angry. First was that the weapon has no special effect on its wielder.

The special effect was like an increase in the wielder's strength or speed or even endurance. The system was clearly saying that the chain dagger has no special effect on him.

So far, nearly all the weapons Nate has created with his master craft have some sort of special effect on him. Even the Ice Axe doubled his speed times two.

[What is wrong with you... At least you still have the special power] Jim said.

Nate glanced at the special power. "It's only two, my axe has at least four special powers," Nate complained.

[Ahhgghh... Forget about it... You didn't even bother to read the effects of those special powers] Jim replied.

Nate only counter how many special powers the chain daggers has and he found out it was only two.

However, after reading the description Nate's mode have changed drastically as he was happy. Although it was only two special powers, there were nice, to say the least.

Seeing all this, Nate quickly put on the dagger belt, and Nate quickly used mind control on the dagger.

As if they have come to life, the daggers raised from the ground and started hovering about Nate while also glowing in different colours.

Blue, Red, Purple and Green were the colours of the daggers as they hover above Nate.

He was not getting any boost though but Nate could feel the connection, it was as if he had just gained some extra limbs that he can control just like his hand.

'All I need now is something to test this on,' Nate thought.

Just then, he could sense something running towards him with great speed.

It was a gigantic rat beast. Its nose was sniffing as it's runs.

'Just what I want...!' Nate smiled.

The beast have reached Nate but rather than attacking him, it went for the squid's body which has no bone in it anymore and started feasting on it.

Just then, Nate sent one of the daggers that went and stab into the rat's flesh.

Shriek out, the rat turned to look at Nate who was staring right back at it with a smile. Nate was not smiling at the rat rather, he was smiling at the notification that appeared before him.

[Strength= 70>>> 75]

Before the rat could move again, another dagger stabbed its leg again.

[Agility= 60>>>65]

Next was that the rat was lifted and was slammed hard on the ground.

[strength = 70>>>80]

The number of Nate stats was increasing as time passed. He decided to pull out the daggers.

[Strength = 70]

'It seems like it's just a temporary effect,' Nate thought.

The rat beast quickly made its way towards Nate in fury but before Nate could do anything, a couple of bullets hit the beast killing it on the spot.

Just then, a group of bike gangs with black jackets drove towards Nate and pulled over.

They were about twenty bikes with two in one.

Soon, after pulling over, a man with scars all around his face walked forward to Nate.

"It's dead..!" the man said looking at the squid's body before he faced Nate.

"You... Did you do this?" he asked.

"Yes..!" Nate replied almost instantly after the question was asked.
